About this item

  • Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 100-Volt 30 amp Solar Charge Controller maintains battery health, extending its life
  • A solar charger gathers energy from your solar panels, and stores it in your batteries. Using the latest, fastest technology, Victron Energy BlueSolar maximises this energy-harvest, driving it intelligently to achieve full charge in the shortest possible time
  • Victron Energy MPPT Solar charge controller: By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available power is rinsed out of your panels, and harvested for storage
  • Remotely control and monitor the extensive features of Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT solar charge controller by attaching a Bluetooth dongle (sold separately) and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect
  • Incorrect installation can be hazardous, Please consult a licensed professional and follow all applicable electrical codes during installation

The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 solar charge controller is marine rated and ideally suited for mobile applications with flooded, AGM or lithium batteries. This charge controller can support up to 450W of solar panels at 12V or 900W at 24V. BlueSolar MPPT charge controllers are compatible with the Victron Bluetooth Dongle, MPPT Control and Color Control GX Monitor for programming and monitoring.

I like that the connection process is very simple, and the instructions for the device are very clear. BE AWARE that you MUST connect the Bluetooth dongle (sold separately) in order to use the VictronConnect app for your phone. You can connect solar panels in series, up to the max input voltage of 100V. Higher voltages produce more output Amps and Watts at the battery output. Series-wired panels will output the Amps of ONE panel at the SUM of their output voltage. You can connect sets of panels in parallel to get more output current (and Wattage) but in parallel, the Amps add up, so don't overdo it. Aim for about 20-25 Amps max, to avoid overloading the device. I'm running this with 3 pairs of 100W panels in parallel and it works perfectly. for charging 2 or more 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries.

Easy connect. High voltage input so lower panel current and smaller wires. MPPT charge control. Well made.

This Victron MPPT handles the wiring better for thicker wiring sizes. Performance wise its excellent.

Great products, as with any solar systems/components make sure you have proper(large enough)wire size for the system and that all of your connections are tight throughout the entire system. Better to have a little larger wire than you need than too small. The components will thank you so will you pocket book!Health & Wealth!

This product failed after almost 5 months of use. It seemed to work well until then. Failure was evident in recognizing solar panel input. A backup MPPT I had was then installed, and solar charging was returned. I asked Amazon for a replacement, but they directed me to Victron. Victron's response was for me to contact Amazon for a solution. At this point, I don't know where I stand - other than being out about $250. I now see reviews on YouTube indicating this MPPT has been a problem. I thought the "quality and service" of Victron, eventhough their cost is higher than others, would be the best product to use. Now it appears that less expensive versions of similar hardware are a better choice. I do not recommend Victron's customer support.

Goes into fault too often needing reset. Loses blue tooth connection consistently. Had dead batteries on multiple occasions with this device.

I bought this to replace another brand which made a mockery of its own MPPT claim: I could barely get 200 watts to my batteries from a 600 watt array of six panels for a 24 volt system. Then that "controller" failed entirely after about four months. Check my other reviews if you want to see what's up with that one. Learn from my mistakes. There are no real features with this unit, but it does a real good job at what it's supposed to do: get you maximum power to recharge your array well-regulated without burning up your equipment with excessively high voltages. With this unit on the otherwise same setup, I have seen up to 515 watts in late April not anywhere near the highest sun of the year. It also does remarkably well in cloudy but bright skies. I don't have the Bluetooth model and don't care really since my batteries do tell me what's going on via their Blueteeth connections.I downloaded the lengthy owner's manual and read it well because it was not intuitive at all how to set up the controller or to decipher the status lights. Take the time and do this BEFORE just hooking it in and using so you get it right for your system. I had to be sure I set the switches properly for my LiFePO4 batteries and system voltage limits, etc., and not fry thousands of dollars of batteries by not being careful. My overall rating is tempered only by the fact this controller's only been in service for five months.

Very happy with this controller, saw some bad reviews for it and Amazon even said it was returned frequently. I think it works perfectly. Love the Bluetooth, so I can tell what the system is doing. I new that I needed a new solar panel just from looking at the app. I can only think that people don't know how to use it.

Does it have an led display? NoDoes it work a million times better than Renogy? YesIt's simple and it works. Rock solid. My only beef is get the SMARTSOLAR version with built in Bluetooth as paying $70 for the dongle for this one isn't what I'd call fun.

I think it's been 3 years now of use with my 400watt solar panels.

Product performed as described. Exceeded my expectations and seemed to squeeze maximum capabiliiy and more from my solar panel system.I would rec to others at this point.
