There was no junction box behind my old light fixture. This Mounting Block with built-in electrical box was the perfect solution. It was easy to install, keeps my new light fixture in place, and looks great with my new gray vinyl siding.

1) I ordered white and black was in the box. I'm on my second issue with Amazon in 2 days, I'm tired of returning things so I spray painted it white.2) doesn't fit my siding perfectly but my fault for not measuring beforehand. A little trim should tighten up the ~1/8 in gapWe'll see how it works once I get my ring cam spotlight up

Perfect Fit for Lap Siding. I needed these to mount a light fixture to my wall with lap siding. Good quality and easy installation. The fact that it came with the electrical box as part of its features was perfect for my addition.

I put up a motion sensor yard light for taking out the dogs at night. This made the job easy. It could use.more room for the wires to connect. It does work well.

These look great, but the way you have to put them up is rediculous. My husband and I worked harder on these, on top of two ladders, than we did putting up the drywall in his garage! No joke. They have screws that you have to hold in place with two nuts, one front and one in the back. If you don't get the nuts on exactly in the right place, the front won't secure. It took us well over an hour to get one outside light put up and almost caused a divorce! These look great, but good luck to you if you buy them.

Bought these to mount a PTZ Security Camera- I just had to trim a little plastic off to get it to fit my siding- which was easy enough to do. I'm very happy with this base as it's definitely sturdy enough.

I bought tbese for 5.5 inch LP Smartside siding. It was a risk because the description says 4 inch. They work fine for 5.5.
