Ok, this is my backup viola bow and my only criterion was it being made in the USA. I have played alternatively with both bows for 3 days straight now and here's what I notice.The hair on this bow forms a wider region ... like noticeably wider. I don't really know if that's a plus or not. Like when I click it away in the viola case, the clasp pinches the hair a little bit.My other bow sounds better. I don't know why. Like I put more and more rosin on the new bow and keep playing with the new bow thinking that it would just be a matter of time before they sounded the same, but they never did.I'm a beginner and amateur, so that's all I noticed. It looks nice and plays nice.
