This was great bedding for 25+ gram mice! It was very absorbent and there was no notable smell after 10+ days. The bedding did a great job both with smell and comfort for the wee ones.I have used many types of bedding including bed-o-cobb. This was certainly one of the nicest. There was no notable dust or powder or other fluff or airborn "stuff".This is a large bag. I put 1/2" bedding in 10 shoe-box enclosures and was surprised that the bag was still full! The bedding is very light in weight as well, it expanded when spread and so this bag will go a long way. Fortunately the bag has a ziplock closure!My guess is that I will get more than 10 or 15 changes on the 10 enclosures from this one bag. It may even last 6 months!

I went through FIVE different litters to find the best one to litter box train my ferrets, this was a perfect choice. My ferrets are not good motivated so they do not care for treats. Other litters were too dusty, chunky for their little legs to back into or sandy! This litter is small, paper based and controls pee odor for about a week! My ferrets step on it easily and haven’t had an issue with them wanting to play in it or sleep in it. I do pat it down tight so it’s more level for them to use. I’ve bought multiple times and will keep buying!

I use this in a rat litterbox, definitely wouldn’t use it as general bedding but it works pretty well as litter. It is not dust-free but as long as it’s not being kicked around it’s okay. It says it’s unscented but it has a slight perfume-y scent which isn’t ideal for rats. Seems to contain smell well, people are surprised to learn I have rats when they come over because they say they can’t smell them(air purifier helps too).But overall, as long as the rats aren’t coming into contact with it(there is a grate over their litterbox) I think it’s fine. There are better litters out there but they are usually really expensive so I use this to supplement and make the more expensive stuff last longer by mixing about half and half. I change it twice a week but you could probably get away with once a week for two rats.

Use it for our guinea pig. She likes to chew on her water bottle nozzle until she drains it all into the cage. I was constantly changing her bedding. I use this bedding with Oxbow white bedding. I place the Vitakraft where the water bottle is located and in the corners. It absorbs the water and urine. I then spread the Oxbow over it and throughout the cage. I spot clean and only have to change once a week with this bedding. No more wet soaked bedding.

I got this litter while trying to potty train my daughters guiena pigs. At first I changed it once a week. Now the guinea pigs are potty trained I change one litter box every 3 days and the other once a week. Out of every brand I've tried this one does the best as far as odor protection and the guine pigs seem to like it better as well.

Pensé que estarÃa mejor, pero no, a mis conejos no les gusto nada y para ser sincera no absorbe como dice además de que tenÃa que cambiarlo al dÃa siguiente por qué no minimiza el olor, al contrario huele mucho más. Tal vez con otro tipo de mascota funcione mejor.
