You will not find a better 5W pump out there, especially at this price point. I researched a lot of pumps before pulling the trigger on this one. There are two ports on this pump, and a single port blows my other 2.5W pump out of the water (no pun intended) while not even running at full power. The adjustable power knob is useful if you don't need to use it at max capacity. I'm currently using it for a hydroponic DWC setup and have not found myself needing to using it above 60% power, even though my grow is scaling up pretty quickly. While the noise isn't that bad under 50% power, anything above 50% I would want this pump placed away from living or sleeping spaces. The pump is on the bigger side for a 5W pump but I believe this was intended to help with heat issues and keep the components from failing quicker. On my 2.5W pump, I could feel the heat it was giving off but on this Vivosun pump it has been consistently cool.

Use it to aerate water for plants.. Works great for what I need.. I love vivosun!!!

Have this running two sponge filters in my 20 gallon and its very powerful. A little noisy but nothing out of the ordinary for a pump.

I chose this pump after watching some of the available videos, one of which shows two air stones pumping out massive quantities of bubbles. I thought that would be perfect for running the sponge filter in my 20g shrimp colony. But when I set this thing up and turn it up to full blast, the bubbles are barely even disturbing the surface of the water in my tank….im only getting maybe 1/3 the bubbling that other’s videos show. I have one of the outlets blocked off since I only need one, but am conisideribg having both of them merge to a single tube just to get some additional force. Also this thing is ENORMOUS for how little air it’s producing.Overall I’m pretty underwhelmed by this pump. I have lots of other giving products that I’ve been very pleased with in the past, but this one just fell short of the mark for me. It is quiet, as others have mentioned, which I suppose is a plus, but if it’s not doing the most basic function it was purchased for, the sound is pretty low on my priority list.

Didn't expect the size and power for the price. Running 4 way gang valve, sure I can add 4 more. Highly recommend. Very quiet.

I can't believe how quiet this is: twice as quiet as my previous pump (Tetra 10-30) with twice the flow. Comes with lots of high-grade silicone hose and two valves to customize/balance outputs in the tank. If full flow isn't needed, the green dial slows the pump down and it becomes practically silent.The only downside: the two outputs are independent (you can't close one and have the other output twice as much air).

I have a lot of Vivosun products - tent, lights, fans - and I have zero complaints about any of them. This is another Vivosun product to add to that list. The unit was easy to assemble and use. It comes with the air pump with 2 ports, 2 air stones, 2 lengths of 10(?) foot 1/4in tubing, 2 check valves, and 2 inline water pressure adjusters (sorry, I have no idea what the technical name is), and 2 splitter connections. The air's rate of flow is fantastic and setup took less than 5 minutes. There is no on/off switch - just turn it all the way down to shut off. Not sure if that uses extra ambient power ir not.
