Cutter has a safety switch which is good but it’s hard to hold it and the trigger at the same time. Not suitable for cutting up cardboard. Really have to push hard to get it to muscle thru single wall cardboard which is why I bought it. Great for cutting paper.Revised…. I get a lot of boxes delivered each week to my house and hate having to break them down. This tool is so helpful for managing the size of materials I'm putting into my recycling bin so I can fit more (and meet their specifications). It also works great for shredding down light cardboard and stacks of paper to use while I'm establishing new garden beds with the hugelkultur method. Love that it doesn't need a cord and can be charged ahead of time, and has plenty of power to rip down several boxes at once without slowing.

I brought this product to make it easier to break down my boxes. The first day it worked. After that, it didn’t work. This product was a waste of money. I charged it again thinking, maybe it needed to be properly charged. That was not the case. It just doesn’t work. And a waste of my money.

Our family loves reusing anything instead of throwing it in the trash!! This was a perfect gadget for our house to cut cardboard into any shape or size. Amazon boxes have so much more life!!Easy to use- my 7 year old easily operates it and safe enough I don’t worry about him getting hurt. The blade is sharp and cuts right through the cardboard but positioned so it’s hard to cut yourself.We have not tried it on other materials but the ease of cardboard crafting makes it worth it for us!

So far, I'm greatly disappointed with the cutting options of these electric scissors. The design of the tool catches on the cardboard and it is difficult to get the cut I desire. I fully charged it but it doesn't seem to want to cut as I hoped. I will play around with it more, but so far, I'm not impressed and wonder if it is an already used-and-returned item.

My fiancé saw a TikTok where a woman made a dress. So now she wants to be a dress maker. The lady in the video had these so of course we had to get our own. She absolutely loves them and how easy they make cutting the fabric. I can’t wait to see what she creates.

I bought these to remove carpeting in small sections from a bedroom to dispose of the carpet easier. I also used them to cut up a large shag area rug for disposal as well. These were charged when they arrived and were great for my purposes not to mention cutting up cardboard boxes. Great price. Highly recommend.

I picked up this cordless scissor on whim as I like to cut up old clothes that are not donatable, to use as rags. If you’ve every cut up large amounts of clothes for rags in one sitting, from regular t-shorts to jeans, you’ll find that it takes some effort and you usually end up with sore and tired hands. This electric shear is the solution! It makes cutting fabric effortless. It literally glides through the fabric, including denim, like a hot knife through butter. The cuts are super clean and the lines are sharp, not that it matters with rags but, it definitely would be for crafting, which is another great use of this tool. It also allows for longer and straighter uninterrupted cuts vs typical scissors, so it’s also great for cutting those long gift wrapping paper. The only nit pick I have with this shear is the position of the safety release buttons. They’re not in an optimal position and for me, it slightly awkward to engage. It could have been better positioned, ergonomically. As it is, it works fine but again, there’s a little bit of fussing around with you fingers to engage it. Another nit pick of mine is that while this shear is rechargeable (a positive thing) however, it does require the use of the included proprietary charger, which utilizes a barrel type charging head. It would have been better if the charging port was a standard usb instead. On a positive note, this shear kit comes with a decent quality case that keeps everything together so, your not likely going to lose or misplace the charger.The manufacture does claim that the shear is self sharpening. I haven’t used it long enough to tell but so far, it’s has remained sharp through all my uses. Considering that this kit comes with everything you need out of the box, It’s a decently priced tool as $49.99 but, a better deal if you catch it on sale for $39.99 (at the time of this review).
