We renewed our old fence this year and needed new post caps. Instead of going with plain old wood caps (that basically cost the same per piece) I searched for the perfect solar light on Amazon and the minute I saw these, hands down, I knew these were the ones! They bring so much elegance and class to our property! With their "down-lighting" design, these caps are meant more for ambiance. While they do provide some light don't expect them to light up your yard. Do expect them to last most if not the entire night especially if you live in a sunny area of the country. We live in the PNW and have a lot of cloudy and rainy days. The lights still charge and come on as expected but they don't last the entire night unless we have a full day of sun. On cloudy days they last about half the night and that's just fine with us. We still love them! I ordered 3 packs of 16 and had issues with 3 lights, broken switches as others have mentioned. I contacted Volisun and they promptly handled the matter after I sent in a requested video showing them the issues. They replaced them with new ones right away. The replacement lights seem to have upgraded switches and work well. Very happy with our purchase and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again and recommend to others.

I'm so tired of cheap, crappy solar lights that don't perform or last long. These work unbelievably well, even seem to take a solar charge on overcast days which the cheap Walmart or Lowe's ones don't seem capable of. These solar panels must be made right or with better quality materials. They work every night, all night, even after a rainy day. Easily worth the price. These are not so bright to attract 100s of insects, but perfect for a dim light to mark areas directly below them. If you want bright light, bright enough to read a book under, these are not what you want, these are dim, about 10 lumens (equal to about 2 candles light).

All eight of these are set up on my back porch/deck. They provide minimal light, but a nice accent and enough to avoid tripping. Installation was easy. They fit on the 4x4s with no effort and minimal slop. I made some 4x4 plates for mounting on the rail between the posts. For whoever said they won't fit on Trex true 4x4 posts, you may have failed to notice the removeable insert. With the insert it's sized for dimensional 4x4, without, the opening is a true 4x4 inches. I didn't try them on Trex as I don't have any, but unless the Trex is actually larger than 4x4 inches, it should fit. A star off for brightness (or lack thereof) and the flimsy plastic of which they are made. For the price I would recommend if the noted "features" are acceptable.

More modern look than most post caps. If you need post caps that put out 4 sided light to use to illuminate an area these are not the style for that. Because of the height, the warm light color and that there are lights located on 2 sides only these were perfect for my use which was to go on posts around a pool area as an accent not to light it up like daylight. Only has 1 color mode which was warm which again was perfect for my use. Would purchase more if needed. Appear to be a quality manufactured product so hopefully they will last.

Battery life is very bad, and it provides nothing more than ambiance. Installed on stair posts and still can’t see the stairs. Fitment is ok. All plastic obviously.

They feel really flimsy and I believe they would not last long maybe one or two summers and then you will need to buy a new ones.
