Notes:
- There is a tab on the back of solar panel, please remove it before charging.
- As the charging effect of the solar panel is depended on the sunlight, the LED light time is affected by weather, seasons, places, etc.
- Please cover the solar panel if you want it light up at daylight.
- Fully charged the solar panel under sunlight for 12 hours at the first time use.
- Please keep the panel clean and put it directly in the sun to get enough solar energy to charge.
- They are WATERPROOF, and can still use during rain and snow, but please avoid soaking in water for a long time.
- Make sure there is no strong light source around the solar panel at night.

I purchased these with a bit of skepticism as I rarely see a post light that actually looks good. I was pleasantly surprised. These lights do not put out a huge amount of light, truly just an accent which is what I wanted.On my 6x6 posts, these looks fantastic and are relatively low profile so they aren’t too overwhelming but also protect the top of the post.Best of all, they use a removable standard AA NI-MH 1000mA battery.I haven’t had a change to measure longevity as far as if they stay lit through the entire night but they do consistently make it at least 5 hours so far.

These work better than I imagined. 1 year later and still going strong; after a Wisconsin winter even. Minimal light will charge these everyday. They light up at dusk and provide ambient lighting for your space. Mine sit on top of fence post 4x4's and rarely come off with strong winds. Even when they blow off (rare occasion) they'll keep working. I'd recommend these over string lights all day long. They won't cost you any electricity, provide good mood lighting, and are low to no maintenance. If one breaks for some reason you can just replace, vs with a string light you would have to find the correct bulb to replace with. Might not be that wmeasyvto match perfectly!One thing to note - these provide mire of mood lighting and don't light up the space. If you really need to see well I'd go with string lights or at least supplement with another light source. Between these and our fire pit we find it to be completely satisfactory though.

The builder supplied caps on our back fence posts have been falling apart for the past few months (NC weather is pretty muggy and tears things up easily). I’ve been wanting to fix this problem & add light by our tree line for our dogs, and decided to check on the old Amazon for options. These caps are a solid plastic, look very clean, and blend well with the overall aesthetic of our fence. They provide just enough light to be helpful, but aren’t overwhelming like a motion sensor spot light can be in certain locations. The solar caps charged within a day and a half, and all have worked well. I went ahead and changed the AA batteries right away to a better quality battery brand since I did choose to screw these into the posts. We have 4x4 posts, so the larger size shell they come with wasn’t needed. The small black screws they come with are very short; one recommendation I would make if you really want to, is to buy some longer black screws because it was a little tough screwing those into the posts. They also come with anchors and larger screws if you have a larger sized fence post, and need to use the additional shell provided. I haven’t had these long, but so far am impressed especially for the price. I’d definitely say to check the Maggi Brand out if you are looking for additional pops of outdoor lighting around your property.

Pros:* Easy install on my 4x4 wooden posts. (can use on 5x5 or 6x6 as well)* They look great.* All worked out of the box.Cons:* No black screws!! Many reviews mention this and it's annoying. They should include black anodized screws, now I have to paint the screw heads black.* Worried a bit about moisture getting in as the battery compartment is not really waterproof at all. Will see how it fares and update this review accordingly.* The plastic light covers are clear and therefore do not diffuse the LED nodes at all, so you see all the little LED dots when they light up. Not too bright for me with 9 on a small deck but the issue is if they are in your eyeline when you sit down, its an issue. Not sure how to mitigate this problem atm.Frosted/opaque plastic to diffuse the light and black screws would make these 5 stars.

We had two posts that were taller than the rest so instead of cutting them down I added these to the top and they're super cute! You can see the solar light easily but not too over the top. Love them!

I got these light caps for my deck. It’s a good size deck. Not the biggest in the world, but not small deck by any means. Everyone seems to love my deck especially my wife. I take pride in it because I use it a lot. When it comes to my deck, I only want the best… I love these lights caps. These light caps are way less expensive than the big box store brands and those drunken vagrants that ask me for cash money in the parking lot. If I get 2 years out of them they’re great in my book. (The lights not the drunken vagrants.)I think they’re plenty bright actually. I’ve only fell down the stairs once. My deck looks so good with these lights. When my deck gets wet, the lights do its thing and don’t talk to me for days after.

These post lights look very nice in the day, but at night their design is pretty flawed. There are a ring of surface mount LEDs in the center in a sort of ring facing out, and they are firing straight through the clear middle section. There is no diffusion or reflectors, so you end up getting super bright points of light straight in your eyes, and nearly no light going up or down to illuminate the surroundings. It's almost worse visibility with the lights because they create a sort of blind spot from the bright light in your eyes. I made them a lot easier on the eyes by frosting the clear section with a dremel wire brush. Now they at least don't blind me, but there is still no light firing downward to illuminate the surroundings. I think if i had know these before I wouldn't have purchased them. Other than the design problem, they function alright so far. They fit snugly on my 4x4 nominal wood posts, and they come on reliably when it gets dark. I just wish they did a better job of directing light to the surroundings.

La verdad es que me ha sorprendido muy gratamente.Da bastante luz y es bastante estética.Además me gusta la idea que venga con una pila recargable AA asà la podré cambiar cuando ya no cargue.Totalmente recomendable.
