Decent item.Get a bird beak pliers and larger wick for scented candles. Research wick types and sizes as the candle container and wick size matters. Spacing of wick matters.Wax type matters and mixture also matters. Do the research properly and test test test. Also a glue gun may work well to stick it to the container.I’m in this candle making thing for a few months and haven’t gotten it right, still playing with all these variables, but this is a good item for a start.

These work perfectly for candle making. You can use waxed cord or most anything as a wick with these. These are consistent in size and quality. Good find for the price.

VViViD Candle Wick Base 260 pcs: I pour candles for my daughter, DIL, and myself. I am big into the reduce and reuse principle and would clean and reuse the tabs from candles for trimmed wicks long enough for smaller jars. Worked great but after many years decided having a pack of new tabs was an okay way to save time. What I like:1. Holds large diameter wicks, C20's are shown in the picture.2. Very easy to crimp, holds wicks tightly.3. Base diameter perfect size for wick stickers.4. Cost effective.Dislikes:1. The metal is quite thin and when crimping the base tends to distort. I tried crimping on the upper half of the post, but some base distortion still happened. The ones in the picture are smoothed out but you can see from the unused one the difference in smoothness. This was never a problem with tabs that had a thicker build. Due to the thinness, it is easy to smooth out the distortion, but add a little time to the process. I would not be inclined to make all my own tabbed wicks with these.2. Don't be misled by the wax melting bag. Not functional or safe for the following reasons: 1) I want it to hold the tabs! 2) It is so small that the amount of wax it would hold would pour only a very small candle. 3) The bag would come out of the water wet and very hot; you would have to dry off a wiggly bag full of hot wax before pouring the candle to avoid getting water in the wax. 4) You scent and color in the melting container so the wax can cool to the appropriate temp before pouring into the candle jar. The bag would be a mess to clean out and keep open to reuse. 5) Handling the hot wax in a bag such as this is an accident waiting to happen. If your new to candle making, you would be wise and safer to avoid this idea.

These are great! I like to take old candles that are going to the trash and give them another life. Sometimes the candles don't have a wick base so these are perfect. They help me reuse the wick from the old candle instead of throwing it away.

These VViViD Candle Wick base pieces are great. Just cut your wick to the desired length, insert into the base and crimp. Then use a candle wick sticker to attach the base to the bottom of your jar, and you’re all set. There are plenty of bases in this set to keep you busy on candle projects for quite a while. Happy “candle-ingâ€.

This is a simple solution for all my wasted cut off wicks. Now instead of wasting these extra pieces, I can put them into these fresh bottom parts and use them for smaller candles instead. These are shaped well, sturdy and easy to pinch shut around the wicks.

I need a "neck" wide enough for a thick wick, so I selected what I thought would be 4-5mm width. These tab sustainers were closer to 3mm wide in the neck. Too narrow for my need
