I was able to fix the issues I had with my washing machine, but the belt was the wrong size, so I reused the old belt and it worked fine. It was easy to install for me, however that may not be true for others as it requires tipping the machine and that may be difficult if you have limited space. The hardest part of the install was holding the pulley while loosening or tightening the nut that holds it in place.

The gears on the kit work fine to replace the gears in model whirlpool wtw4855hw1. I didn’t use the belt as my belt was still fine. Don’t over torque the nut on the pulley gear. Don’t ask me how i know.

My clutch broke and I bought this set to replace the clutch - everything else (i.e. the belt, nut, and main drive pulley) was working correctly. I figured the extra parts would be a bonus1) The splines on the clutch (that disconnects the drum from the motor) are either not the correct shape or are the wrong size (the number of splines was correct). The fit was soooo tight that the spring that reengages the drum couldn't push the clutch back down. I had to use a dremel to file out the spines on the clutch to allow the spring to do its job.2) The belt is waaaay too short. There is absolutely no way that the new belt is the correct size. The size difference was considerable between the old and new belts. I ended up just reusing my old belt.3) The nut is either the wrong size, wrong thread pitch, or machined so poorly that I could not use it to secure the drive pulley to the transmission drive shaft. So, again, I ended up just reusing my original part.

I’m letting it eat with too tight of a belt. It now makes a squeaky sound. My only fear is the belt doesn’t stretch some before the new high lateral bearing load causes a different failure. Old belt was 10 yeaold but looked great. I should of put it on.
