I used this to replace the seal on my Whirlpool WFWHEDC0 Duet washer. It fit good and the material was thick and supple like the original. Works great!!

We recently had to replace our front loader door gasket/boot for our Whirlpool Duet WFW8640BW1. I have replaced a gasket on a very similar door previously and had a real hassle of a time doing it, but one of the other reviewers had suggested a link to a repair video from Repair Clinic (there are many others) that shows using a spring clamp (or a few) to hold the spring and gasket in place while you are stretching it around.This is a repair that is within reach of most Do It Yourselfers (DIY'ers). It's really odd how Whirlpool designed some of this, because it requires so many panels to be removed, but while you are doing it you definitely want to clear the large plastic cylindrical trap that's just below the door. We found a bra pad! and several coins that had slipped between the baffle into the washing drum and gotten sucked into that filter, and were therefore slowing the drainage. Just be sure to take care of that while installing. Follow the video closely for removing (easy) and attaching (hard) the gasket/boot. The spring clamp requires two pliers to pull the spring apart and reattach it, and the tension on the wire will want to pull the boot off the metal rim where it attaches. Therefore this may be easier as a two person job, but I was able to complete it on my own with the clamps. Exercise patience at this step, and once complete, the rest is easy! Also make sure the drain holes on the bottom are aligned with the washers, as it can twist during installation.Altogether this is well made, seals the door well, and is a great savings and extends the life of your washer. Very pleased!PS, another tip to extend the life of the door seal, if you aren't already doing it--be sure to leave the door open to air dry after use and wipe out mold/mildew from the rubber periodically to keep it in good condition.

Arrived quickly and in great condition. It fits perfect and I’m happy with the light gray color on my white Maytag washing machine that was purchased used for a vacation home. The only reason for needing it, is the previous owner let mildew develop on her machines bellow and it stained. Keep your machine door open while not in use and you won’t have that problem! This item seems to be very good quality. I’ve only washed one load since installing it, but seems great so far. I don’t expect any issues. It took two people to install it as replacing the wire cable and spring mechanism isn’t as quick and easy to pop on as a YouTube video made it appear. But definitely doable. We were careful to not let any pinch points damage the bellow in the installation process. I recommend this product and would purchase again, although I don’t anticipate it will be necessary.

My wife and I were very careful removing the old and installing the new. Like others, we let it sit in the sun for a week to reform to its natural shape. We were careful with the installation and were successful. It never leaks. But the water does not drain better than the old and it stains where the water (not much water) pools at the bottom of the gasket. Air dries the water, but the stain remains.Judging it by what it is, it seems good. It keeps our laundry area dry. Our clothes are clean. But if you are a neat freak, don't expect it to be a better product than the OEM product.

this works well. stopped the leaking of our washer, we owned the washer for about 7 years, I don't know if we should change it every 7 years.

Used this to freshen up our new to us whirlpool WFW72HEDW0 washing machine. Came with the house and the previous owners let it get extremely nasty. Followed a YT tutorial on removal/installation, new seal fit perfectly and after a couple weeks of heavy use catching up on laundry have had 0 issues with leaks. It is a bit of a pain to get the outter spring held band back on but that's a Whirlpool design issue and no fault of the part itself. Absolutely recommend compared to the $200+ whirlpool branded part

The old gasket was moldy - fortunately, I found a replacement.It's super easy to install.Remember to open your washer door between washes to avoid a moldy gasket.

High quality product, was a perfect fit, looked online at some videos on how to install, installation went well and my washing machine works like new again, no leaks and a perfect seal around the door, I highly recommend this product.

It is a good option to try due to the high OEM price. The gasket came folded in a small box. I put it in a sink of hot water and allowed it to warm up. It went on without any issues. I was able to do it myself in very little time with a Phillips screw driver and a pair of needle nose pliers. Relativly easy and no leaks!

The seal in my washer got mold, which seems to be a common problem with these machines so I had to pick between figuring out how to replace the gasket or buying a new machine. I was hesitant as to the complexity of the job and whether or not this part would fit properly but I am really glad I took the risk. The installation was doable and it is working perfectly fine so I save a lot of money.
