We liked this water jug so much we bought a second one. It really is a variable star value… my first one was probably a 4* because the vent plug on the lid sits at the bottom of the lid’s rotation. (See photos)We ordered a second anyway and we were pleasantly surprised the vent was near the top.It’s a great size, perfect for our little off grid, dry cabin. I was shopping for a jug that had a smaller footprint to save space. It is also nice that it isn’t the ubiquitous blue jug. The volume is great, about my max for lifting into place myself. I also like that it is BPA free.I didn’t expect the elephant snout spigot, it’s actually kinda nice when trying to rinse things off. The jug is solid, the threads are quality, it’s easy to screw on & tighten the lids & it comes with an extra gasket.

Bought these due to the smaller height versus other jugs I've seen. these fit perfect inside a 18" wide van cabinet. I like the larger lid also for being able to put a fast connect adapter on it. So far seems very sturdy.

Some said it may leak and not seal well bit I cleaned off a small burr and tightened it so I have no problems.

The air vent is now on the large blue cap, and on mine the cap tightens with the air vent plug down. This causes about 1 gal less capacity (3 gal instead of 4). However, I have found a fix for the air vent issue. I used a “Universal Silicone Sealing Bottle Straw Hole Grommet†to put in a 7/16 hole drilled into the top of the contrainer. For good measure, I also replaced the original air vent with a plug “Silicone Snap in Locking Hole Plug†- 17mm, groove width 2mm.

We have several different jugs for camping and these are our favorite. The large lid opening is great for filling. And we really like the turn valve for dispensing the water. Some other jugs, once the water level is low, are hard to turn the value because the whole jug wants to turn, thus two hands are needed. But not these. Even when the water is low and there is not a lot of weight, we can still turn the valve with one hand. Also, the rectangular shape is efficient for placing several of these, side by side. I highly recommend these jugs.

I was buying jugs of water until I realized this would be a great solution. I just keep refilling these for my boat and have reduced plastic waste. It's durable and easy to clean.

I got this to have water for cleaning dishes and such while on the road. Also for making wudu. This container is perfect fit for the side box. It doesn't leak and the "faucet" allows you to have a small stream which conserves water when making wudu.
