Once you get the tubes tight it works well. Moved water super fast, it’s awfully loud but works well.

If the intake side is below the source it is pumping from it will lift water 40+ feet high through 350 feet of garden hose. it is noisy but a great value of you need a small volume but decent pressure pump.Lowes has 1/2" FIP brass fittings to convert the pump to a garden hose, they cost nearly as much as the pump. The pump needs a hefty power supply ( I used a car battery), trying to power it via a 120v- 12 volt power supply will be problematic unless you have a 5-7 amp power supply.

Update: dated 5th May 2024I purchased three pumps as follows: March 2020, September 2023 and November 2023.The one that I purchased in 2020 is still functioning like a boss while, unfortunately those purchased in 2023 have stopped functioning.CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT, THEY IMMEDIATELY REFUNDED. I will purchase the pump again. My house is a two storied structure. Because of low water pressure on a regular basis I utilize water tanks and pump water upstairs using AC pumps to the faucets in my house. Not long ago both AC pumps started giving trouble so I decided to experiment with this DC pump since I already had the batteries in preparation to setting up a solar system.Quite naturally the water pressure is not the same as the AC pumps, however, the water flow to the shower head is sufficient to have a comfortable shower. NB: Two showers cannot be operated together. If thee is a power failure from the Grid my life continue to move along because I now have an uninterrupted water supply.I highly recommend these pumps for use similar to mine.Today I will connect an additional pump to the system and monitor the water flow to the shower upstairs.

Update: The pump started leaking where the diaphragm meets the motor. No amount of tightening the screws stopped the leaking. Shortly after that the pump let out the magic smoke and burned up. Reduced the rating to 1 star. Disappointed. So this is fairly impressive so far. It was securely packaged. When I opened it I was happy to see several accessories with the pump. It comes with two 1/2" threaded to 3/8" barb fittings, two rubber o-rings, two hose clamps, and the electrical connector to wire it up. Seems well made. Specs are listed in SAE units which, until America adopts the metric system, is very convenient. Even the box is free from spelling errors. Pretty good work for a low cost Chinese product. Im happy so far. Will update when I install it.Update: installed pump, followed directions on the box for the most part, and everything worked fine. I have it rigged to a fairly sensitive float switch in a turbulent bucket. So the duty cycle is extremely short, like 1 second, but very consistent. I would say it kicks on every 10 seconds, for 1 second. Maybe even more often. This will really be a good test of the durability of this pump. Will update after a few months.

On an Anker portable battery bank, this runs 7-8 watts. It is enough to run 4-6 1/4 inch irrigation tube sprinkler heads. On my BigBlue CellPowa 500, the pump runs 11-15 watts and has a much faster flow. I have not tested how many sprinkler heads it would be able to support.I bought it with:100 Foot hose:https://amzn.to/3Ls8CN7Garden hose fittings (to attach to a rain barrel):https://amzn.to/3Y4T8pDWater pump strainer (stops particles from entering the pump prop):https://amzn.to/46msZVLSome other ideas:Automate with a Raspberry PI: https://amzn.to/46dd0cj...protected with a case: https://amzn.to/461PuPz...connected to a relay: https://amzn.to/3Lm0E8h...with jumper wires: https://amzn.to/4f6LzVu...powered by a good battery bank: https://amzn.to/3Y5VFjG...which can be charged with a solar panel: https://amzn.to/3LK02cR...by USB-C: https://amzn.to/3W7brI7
