The description says "military-grade polyethylene foam interior". Only the bottom padding is closed cell foam, the top padding is open cell foam. If you're purchasing this because you think all the padding is closed cell, look elsewhere.The description says "You will receive the Starlink Mini Dish Kit Case and the Starlink with integrated WiFi Portable Bag". Although the case was delivered, there was no drawstring bag as pictured in the images.

The star Lake mini and its accessories fits in the case. Nice perfect choice for Starlink mini highly recommended would buy again.

The sealing gasket does not seal too well. Everything is lined up, the gasket is in place, and the latches are tight, but pushing on the lid even just a little bit (which flexes easily) makes air go out and then back in around the edge. Not just a little hiss, it whooshes. More so than other cases. Compared to a soft or semi-rigid bag, this box is a fair bit more protective for bumping and banging. As shown in the pictures, the pre-cut foam is quite coarse. Not dissimilar from disposable packing foam. The pressure relief is a manual screw, even though it is designed with visual features to look like an automatic one. Not entirely uncommon at this tier, but it would have been better if it didn't have the sealed-off vent-effect molding on the knob. Neither the knob nor the threaded insert it attaches to are captive to the case, and the insert isn't secured at all so it starts to spin freely when trying to loosen, and more importantly, trying to tighten.

The overall appearance of the case is very similar to that of the big name brands of the same type. One of the ways in which they are dissimilar is the sharp angles and geometric shapes, which give it a kind of Sci-fi, futuristic look that I rather like. The lid of the case has a blank smooth rectangular spot in the center, which is clearly designed to take the sticker with the brand logo which is shipped inside the case. I really like the fact that they leave that option up to the end-user, whether they want that on their case or not. I tend to either remove or cover that sort of thing up anyway. There is also another clear rectangular spot on the bottom which I think is great because the top is not the only useful place to put labels. The bottom also has a textured surface and little plastic feet on the corners, to prevent slipping. I definitely like attention to details in design.One of the first things that I like to check on storage cases is the hinges and pivot points. In that regard, this case does not disappoint. All of the pins that are used for hinges or pivot points for latches and handles are all thick,1/8 inch, stainless steel and seem very stout. I really appreciate the use of quality materials in these areas because they seem to be the most common failure points.The interior has custom foam inserts that are glued to the bottom of the main compartment. There does not seem to be any glue on the side walls, which leaves a little wiggle room for customization if need be. There is plenty of space for the dish, cables, components, and accessories. The kit even includes a drawstring carry bag for the dish itself, which I consider considered a thoughtful inclusion.Along with its thick, plastic, crush-proof design, it also has a ledge along the base which fits into a groove around the lid which houses the rubber gas gasket to make it completely waterproof.All things considered, I think that this is a tough, robust, waterproof case that does a great job at protecting the equipment inside.
