Air from the blower presses on the valve's spring when operational which opens the gate, and closes the gate when the blower is off. Spring Tension: 1/4 lb

Worked well and sealed water tight unlike un springed valves. Used on inflatable hot tub.

if you have a Silencer blower air supply this check valve doesn’t fit even though it is a 1.5X2â€but it’s not a tight fit. There is to much play, it’s loose and to thin. Get a thicker schedule of pvc for a firm fit. If this fit blower this will work. It’s a god check valve but not for the model brand Silencer.

After installing this on my hot tub, it failed after 2 days resulting in the failure of my air motor! I do not recommend.
