This is a really great kit - it has everything you need and it’s assembled without a mess - it’s ready to be assembled and comes with directions, glue dots, and little pot for gold (yes the gold fits in!) and decorative accessories to add! I got this for my 2nd grader but because it’s something that is basically assemble as you please - my toddler can decorate too without me having to make sure paint or glue isn’t flying all over the place! I love the glue dots because it makes it easier for them to complete on their own.The box itself it sturdy and thick, definitely will last over several years/uses! This is a really great quality kit and I definitely recommend it!

After assembling 2 home made leprechaun traps last year, I knew if there was a kit, I'd have to try it.What I love maybe most is I don't have to mess with any hot glue guns. Of course your child wants to help build it and with this kit, they can be more involved because you don't have to worry about any burns happening with a glue gun! The kit comes with these little adhesive dots that your kid can peel and stick instead!It is colorful, easy to assemble (nice, clear instructions included) and saves so much time!A bonus is how it helps teach the child to follow instructions.I removed a star for the price, I feel like $18 was a bit of a shake-down, but overall still an okay value because of how it simplified a time consuming task.

Eventually I got this to go together, but I was hoping that it would be easy enough for the kid to do. It was frustrating for the parent to get the box together. The wooden slats did not fit together well at all and needed to be carefully chiseled out to make larger openings to accommodate. This was the main building component of the trap and really set the kiddo for disappointment in the whole build-process. The stickers, coins and pot of gold are fun and cute. For what it is, it is pretty cheaply made and has a pretty decent price tag on it for some painted balsa wood and a few art supplies that do not fit together. If it worked and the kid could build it you could overlook the price and be happier about but this did not appear to have flaws, it simply looked to be manufactured slightly off. It's fun to have a kit with the stuff but I think we had more fun and creativity with the cereal box we used last year.

This kit has everything needed to quickly and simply make an adorable trap to catch a leprechaun! All the materials are high quality and colorful and there is an included instruction sheet to assist with assembly. The only reason I gave this catch-a-leprechaun kit 4 stars is because the craft sticks to make the ladder were missing. I have plenty of craft sticks (popsicle sticks will also do), so to me, it wasn't a big deal. Otherwise, the materials for this kit are highly durable and again, it's very colorful and super cute! I am looking forward to putting this adorable kit together with my grandson for St Patrick's Day and we'll be hoping to catch a leprechaun this year!

I got this to build with my niece. She likes to craft. The idea was they she was supposed to build it and I'd help. Yeah.... i ended building the whole thing because she couldn't manage it because the pieces are so flimsy. The wood is so thin. It felt like it would break if you got the puzzle pieces wrong, so I took over. My niece was so frustrated. The idea is for the kid to have fun, not get frustrated and upset. And it took forever to peel the stupid sticky things. It gets one additonal star because it is really cute. Her and my nephew took the gold to play Store, so I don't think they're going to catch any leprechauns any time soon haha.

I know every March 16th my grandson is scrambling to find materials for his "Leprechaun Trap." This kit has everything he will need. He is super excited about the pot and the gold coins. The instructions look pretty straight forward and I believe he can assemble the trap with minimal adult help (he's almost 8). There is no glue , no nails or screws needed as there are adhesive pieces included for putting the trap together. If the "Leprechaun" does not get caught or destroys the trap, he may be able to reuse it next year. $16.99 seems a bit overpriced but given the smile when he saw it and the time and tears it will save on the 16th, it's worth it.
