After 10 or so years, I needed to replace the original cleaning system, I ordered these genuine replacement parts. Getting the old cleaning system out was the most difficult part of the process (the pictograph instructions were not particularly helpful). The new set was easy to assemble and install (but a third hand or a helper would ease the process). The blades are of a reasonable gauge and seem sturdy. The angle fits the bowl of the grill perfectly.

My 12-year-old 22.5 inch Weber was getting hard to empty -- the vanes on the easy-clean ash dumper weren't so easy to move any more. But with this kit and about 10 minutes later, the ash cleans out like new again! Weber is good stuff. This is a Weber OEM part.

I bought 2 of these. The popular Weber grill with only one touch was a simple replacement and it fit really well. My other Weber, with an attached ash catcher housing, not so well. The manufacturer made the replacement to fit grills with ONLY the porcelain coated grill shell to consider. When the coal/ash catcher is attached, because of the support bracket and the fact that the bracket adds an additional thickness of around 1/16", the assembly does go on, but it is way too tight. Once installed, it will not rotate (and I had to leave the washer off altogether). I don't care all that much because my experience with Weber's has led me to leave the bottom vents about 1/3rd of the way open for all cooking, so I never move the thing except to clean occasionally. Still, if I wanted to move the vents, or use the vent cover as a cleaner to scrape ash from the kettle, it wouldn't work at all. If the handle hole was drilled 1/8" lower (to add 1/8" clearance), and there was a 1/16" and two 1/32" shims included (to remove the clearance as needed per design), this kit would probably work for ALL Weber configurations. There is no way to easily modify the hole/special punch location to get this clearance. Once the piece is made, you're stuck with what you have. This 'system' really needs an engineering change; but be assured that if you have the standard Weber One-Touch grill this kit will work just fine. Also, I give this company credit for a clever design. I hope this helps someone...

I bought my Weber Performer smoker/grill in 1994. It has performed magnificently over the years. In recent years the ash remover/ damper would not close due to ash, grease and rust. I finally decided to pursue a fix for the issue. The design of the new assembly was improved in my opinion and easier to remove way down the road! I had to use a rotary grinder to cut off the rusted nut and rod that opened and closed the damper.I did need a second person to help assemble the new parts. We needed to clean the inside of the bowl and also do some clean up on the bottom of the bowl. The new parts fit perfect and made the bottom damper close tightly like the original damper. I am good to go for a long time. I bought my first Weber product in 1968. It was a Weber Sequoia 24" cart grille.My current go to is a Big Green Egg XL. With a pit monitor I can set it for a 14 hour smoke and not worry about anything. Pork butts and brisket are possible even for the weekend warrior.

Weber kettle grills are not built as well as they used to be. The fins corroded and lost contact with the bottom bowl, losing the ability to save coal usage. This 22-1/2-Inch One-Touch Cleaning System Kit was easy to install after watching YouTube video. Taking off the old one was the most difficult prt. I saved $100+ with this instead of buying a new grill.

I had this cleaning system on my Master Touch lock up. I was surprised to find that on the bottom side it was rusted. For the price of these kettles this shouldn't happen in my opinion but was glad to get the replacement parts. There were other brands out there but they weren't much cheaper so I went with OE.It took a little but to get the old one out having to take a torch to it but after installing the new one it works like a charm.
