This pizza stone is a great addition to my Genesis grill. It is solid, easy to clean, no problems with stuff sticking to it like some un-finished pizza stones. I've made many great pizzas and calzones now!I have the 4-burner grill and find that putting this in the center with an 8" space on each side works best, so the side burners provide indirect heat and the two center burners heat the stone. Turn all four burners on high and let the grill heat up as hot as it will go before you start.

Makes the best pizza! Highly recommend. Really expands the versatility of the grill and I don’t need to buy a stand alone pizza oven. Love it!

If pizza is your goal, forget it. Basically there's no way to use this and get a good pizza. Dutifully preheated and slid my pizza on, after a few minutes I checked it and the top had no hint of browning. A few minutes later it was burnt on the bottom. Basically you don't have enough heat in the oven because it all escapes when you open the lid to put in the pizza. There isn't time to get the temp up before the bottom burns. There is probably a sweet spot on low heat but at that point you're no longer in pizza oven range and your be better off in your kitchen oven where you have more control over the ambient temperature. The compromises required to get this to work at al if possible, I'm not willing to bother with because I know what the ideal conditions are for great pizza and that isn't going to be possible here compared to my conventional oven, so this was an expensive waste of time. It might work for you if cooking on the grill is more information important than the pizza, but if you have access to a conventional oven, just buy a pizza steel and you'll make better pizza than this.
