Welded on plow trucks flat bed for anchor points for clevis when winching out of ditch when stuck and need more angles to optimize winch points with block and tackle. They work great and are low profile for clean look and don't rattle and make noise like d rings do. Bought extra and instantly found myself using them for other dyi projects

Their measurements are way off. Not actually 1 inch thick the hole isn't the size they say it is and the base which you are going to use to weld to your work isn't flat, if it was intentional bevels that would be one thing but this has a radius that I'll have to spend hours grinding flat before I can bevel the edges for welding... now all that said I'll still use it because it meets the minimum specs needed for what I am using it for but just be ware of what you're buying

This is 100% my fault, the description is accurate. Cast. I have 0 desire to use a cast shackle mount welded to mild steel. When I use my shackle mounts, I am doing doing a kinetic recovery or connecting my jeep to a tree to keep it still while I am pulling with the winch from the other side. I know enough about welding to be dangerous, but not nearly enough to feel confident in a cast recovery point. This is a people killer if it comes off. I will be ordering up some mild steel 1" shackle mounts. I wont be using these.Finish is about like the pictures. Mine appear to be made with a little more worn cutting edges as they are not nearly as sharp and clean.Still 5 starts as the description is right and its what I got. I am just an idiot shopping by pictures, not descriptions.

I would never have bought them had I been diligent enough to read the full description(my fault ) cast is not ideal for a welded application like this IMO

These are very well done and exactly what I needed. I will do them to a bumper to make more recovery points on my jeep. They are definitely very solid, as a witness by dropping one of my foot. I would highly recommend these if you need to add more total points or recovery points to a vehicle or ATV.
