For the price I couldn't be happier. Had a job to weld outside with some stick and it kept the wood on a fenced area safe. Great value and a free chipper and gloves. Used the gloves for cleaning out my woodstove.

Blanket works great for welding projects. Gloves not so great for welding, but work well for grinding and general purpose work gloves handling sheet metal.

This is a very large and heavy-duty welding blanket. It's not all I use it for as I use these sometimes around open flame like if I'm doing plumbing work with a solder torch. Most of these I've seen are very small and I wanted a decently-sized own that I could hang as a backdrop while welding but also for other purposes.The included gloves are nothing special and are probably some of the cheapest welding gloves I've seen in person, but I view them as an extra toss-in. Gloves are gloves, though, and I will use them in the shop until they wear out because I am always going through gloves of all kinds.You also get a chip hammer and this is actually decent quality if you don't actually have one of those already.

So glad I had this. Had to cut out a panel on a recently painted truck and this saved the paint from the plasma cutter and grinder. I've had to many mistakes of grinding near a vehicle and those sparks always embedded in the paint and or glass. Always thought I was far enough away but it never panned out. Being a fire resistant material and relatively soft I'm not really worried about laying it directly on the surface for protection. I imagine at some point the abuse will warrant replacement time will tell

used it to handle and move a nearly red hot chimney on a woodstove when it was on fire in conjunction with leather welding gloves (not the gloves included with the product)... it handled the heat well and saved my gloves and more. The gloves included are for a size medium hand and the chipping hammer included is a decent but lightweight chipping hammer

I haven't had any larger jobs to try it out on, but works good for simple projects. I personally prefer a little better gloves; however, they aren't bad for the price.

I ordered this welding blanket set to use around the area where I have my angle grinding because when I am sharpening blades and cleaning metals there is a shower of sparks all around. This blanket does a great job of trapping the sparks, preventing them from damaging nearby items or starting a fire unexpectedly. I like the size of this blanket (4' x 6'), and I appreciate how it folds up nicely for storage. The grommets around the edge of the blanket allow me to drape it around my work area to protect a fairly large area. This set also includes a set of suede/leather gloves which fit my large-size hands well and protected me from sparks. Additionally there is a hammer in the set, but I don't currently have a use for that. I would recommend this item.
