This kit worked awesomely on our camper, but we had the same problems as most people who had issues with the adhesive on the back of the LED strip. It came right off. We had to buy gorilla tape instead and that worked. Otherwise overall it was easy to install and we haven't had a single issue with them.

I work in maintenance, I work with electrical 50% of the time. I wired the lights to an existing 12v switch in my camper that worked the porch light previously. They never lit up, I had 12v going to them and nothing. That was after I had to go to the store and buy two rolls of the double sided tape. One roll because there was not enough for the 12 foot length of the clear track, the second roll because I could not get the adhesive to stay on the back of the LED strip as I pulled the backing off. No matter what I did, it came right off with it. Waste of time and money.

I actually bought these to install in my truck topper for lighting up the bed area in the dark. Unlike some others, I didn't have any problems hardwiring the lights directly to the truck (not using the 12 volt plug in adapter). For the most part, they work for my purposes. The lights on full white are bright enough to illuminate the entire bed area. I didn't use the plastic holding strips that came with the light kit, but I bought longer and more rigid LED light strip holders (similar to what you'd use for undercabinet lighting strips). Installation was easy, but have one small issue. The lights work well for white lighting which was my most important need. However, the remote doesn't change the lights to the color represented on the remote (I.e., the yellow button makes the lights red, the green button makes the lights green, etc.). Not a big deal for me. Most importantly, the white lights work on bright and dim.

Product itself is very nice but installation materials were very poor. Two sided tape was short of the length of the light and would not come off the roll. It also doesn't stick to the back of the light strip. Ended up throwing it out and using two sided tape purchased separately.Very happy with the light itself though

Very nice lights..except the double-sided tape wasn't enough and alot of it was stuck together. It comes with a RF remote that doesn't have to be pointed at the lights to change the settings but if they were Bluetooth it would be nicer so I could use my phone.. these come with a clear rubber sleeve that the string lights go inside to keep them water proof. I need about 2 more sets to put under my trailer. hint-hint welluck 😉😉

Short version: The remote will only work if you use the cigarette lighter socket. The remote won’t work if you hardwire. The adhesive is very poor.Long version: The kit and the replacement worked fine when plugged into the trucks power socket - I tested before installing. When I hard wired into the RV, only the white lights came on. The remote didn’t function at all. I believe the “eye†for the remote control is built into the 12v socket, which cannot be safely wired in when hardwiring. The replacement set they sent had the same issue - worked when plugged in but no remote when hardwired. Strange they would send a “hardwire†cord knowing it won’t function. I returned the set and will go a different direction. I used aftermarket 3m adhesive as the two sided tape included was very low quality.

Very poor quality - had to silicone lights to the trailer to get them to stay in place, the tape adhesive peeled off from the lights when we were attaching them to the camper. Hopefully they last the season, definitely not worth the price - very disappointed in the quality.
