I have some plastic thread gauges. Ok for course threads but on fine threads the gauge is too thick to get down into the threads properly. These are thin metal but stiff enough. The treads are accurately made. Markings are easy to read. Will measure a bunch of things but I got it for the threads.I had a fitting with M14 straight threads but nothing would fit it. Took this and determined it was M14-1.0. Who knew that was even a thing but it is. Saved me a lot of aggravation. All happy to have them after that.

I work with small and large equipment all day and most of the times screws are missing or bolts need replacing. Without this helpful tool I would have to make repeated trips to the hardware store or even buying multiple sizes of screws to fit the application I needed them for. I like that it's metal so it wond break, has a bit of weight to it, and clearly marked so you can make measurements in seconds. It comes in two pack with a very nice carrying case. This is definitely a part of my every day carry when on the job site, highly recommend.

These gauges have everything, Including 118 and 135 degree angle on the imperial one for drill bit sharpening. Love them. Best $ spent in a while.

I returned them as I wanted something that engaged the threads better. These are very reliable for diameter but not pitch.

I was able to identify a machine screw and its pitch with ease. Both gauges are precise and complete for my needs in my woodworking shop.They are very handy when dealing with bolts, rods, drill bits, taps.The removable triangles are great for hole size measurements (diameter and depth).
