This device is excellent and a great alternative if you do how have the capacity to own a smoker or grill. The smoke barely escapes but does not leave your room smoky, just a pleasant aroma in the air if you like the smell of wood chips burning. The instruction manual is a bit lacking on how to cook specific foods, but with a little trial and error you'll get it sorted out. I highly recommend lining the bottom with tin foil along with the cap on top of the coil. Also, if you are not using it, put some tin foil on the bottom rack to help disperse the heat as the coil can form a hot spot and over cook food that is directly above it.Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase and have successfully made wings, jalapeno poppers, bacon, ribs (restaurant quality) and will be cooking a whole chicken tonight. Highly recommend!

So I haven't written a review in a while, but this product was something I was on the fence about and I was so pleased with it I figured it was worth a review. A couple thoughts:-Is this as good as a 500$ indoor smoker? I honestly have no idea, i wouldn't spend 500$ on an indoor or outdoor smoker which is why i got this one. But is this an awesome 120$ smoker? absolutely yes-Use this under or over your stove hood and turn on the hood fan! otherwise you will low key smoke your whole house, if you really like hickory smell, sure that's great, otherwise the seals on this work fairly well, but smoke does escape but if you put this around a hood fan you'll be fine.-Minor complaint, the temp and timing functions are very basic, with a probe you cook to a temp, without a probe you cook to a time, its a bit confusing and the panel isn't intuitive, but once you kinda figure it out, you'll be ok.-It smokes really well! We've done salmon, cheese, poultry, and pork, all of its smokes great. we get the pellet sampler packs and have had great success-Its not super easy to clean since the heater element is just in the bottom. so make sure you put some foil in the bottom to catch drippings.-Again the seal on the lid isn't perfect, this isn't a fancy smoker that has some sort of air circulation system, the smoke will escape so see point 2 again.Overall really happy with this purchase. Was on the fence about it, but if you are also on the fence this is a really budget friendly way to get into smoking without going outside.

I'm giving this 4 starts because it provides for a niche no other product currently does . I've been looking for a small electric smoker. I didn't need to be for the indoors. I also wouldn't recommend using it indoors unless you have a fan that vents to the outdoors. The product is cheaply made. Thin plastic, thin metal, the racks feel extremely fragile. Think of the Men In Black quote regarding the midget cricket. "I'm gonna break this Da** thing". Although soaking and running through the dishwasher seems to work. As other reviewers have mentioned, line the bottom with foil. You won't want to have to scrub this thing, and I think putting water in the basin might leak through to the electronics. The controls are fidgety, It does the default settings fine, but change anything from the defaults and its either fidgety or failing. All that said, it works! I've done chicken and hamburger. I precooked the chicken in a Sous Vide then smoked them for the default 30 min in this device. They came out delish. The Hamburgers I cooked fully in he smoker for 1.5hrs and again wonderful. I don't know how long this thing will last but at under $100 if it lasts for a year I'll be satisfied with the purchase

I cannot say enough about this gadget!!I live in an apartment and did not want a large outdoor smoker on my patio. This can be used inside, but it does produce a very heavy smoke smell. I put it in on a patio table outside when using. This does cloak your meat in smoke so it does have a very heavy smoke flavor, you can use less chips if that is not desired.So far I have smoked brisket, salmon, chicken and ribs. All have been amazing. Tender and smoky. The brisket was my fav so far, was about 4 lbs. Can use 2 racks for ribs and smaller/thinner foods. Food directly over the heating element will cook faster, try to offset or use 2nd rack if possible.Smaller batches compared to the large smokers but still great if you don't want huge quantities of food.It does have a crock insert but I have not used that yet.Does not come with any chips, so purchase separately.Mesquite was a bit much, I use pecan.Wipe out to clean and can soak the racks if needed.

I bought this for the smoker setting. I was able to use it a total of four times and achieved some outstanding smoked trout using the combo smoke setting. It was efficient, easy to use, and not too bad to clean. Best of all I could use it indoors under the stove vent. I honestly thought I might have found an alternative to my Big Chief smoker for smaller batches of fish.A little ways into my fourth batch of trout, I noticed that the smoker had cut off. I tried turning it back on but had no luck. I then noticed that some nearby appliances were not working. It then dawned on me that the circuit breaker must have flipped. I ended up moving the smoker to another outlet where there was nothing plugged in on the breaker. It came on briefly and I set it up to smoke and walked away again. Came back a few minutes later to find it off and another breaker flipped. I moved my trout to the oven at that point.As much as I liked this thing, I am afraid it might be a hazard. I am scared to use it further and will luckily be able to return it as I am still in the return window. I hope that I just got a lemon and that other ones work great out there. However, I would strongly advise folks to be careful with this.

Exactly as advertised. My only issue is it says that smoking can last 2 hours if you fill the chamber. I find it barely lasts an hour. Which is fine I just fill it up with more wood but it's just not accurate on the description is all. But the product works fantastically!!

The flavour is amazing and so light weight and I love you can smoke items hot or cold. Easy to clean. I needed to replace my slow cooker and this the idea product. Looking forward to experimenting with this cooker.

To hot smoke works good but you do get smell in the house but not smoke, sadly the cold smoke heats to high you cant smoke at 80F / 100F get much hotter when the cold function is used, but I do like the product

Love this little indoor smoker. Plug it in under your stove vent fan, and turn on the fan to help vent the small bit of smoke that escapes from the lid. Used apple wood chips and used the combo setting (cold and then hot smoke). Delicious! Very happy.
