This product is awful. I'd give it a zero if I could!! The pic is the suposed coated side.I had the exact box of heavy duty coated freezer paper from before that I bought at Fleet Farm or Sam's last year & ran out. Now I know why I couldn't find it anywhere but online because of its terrible quality.I ordered this box that looks exactly the same as before, word for word... BUT, this one I can tear by hand it's so thin, definitely not heavy duty! It's so thin & the coating does ABOLUTELY nothing. The meat sticks to it & it gets wet through it. I may as well wrap meat in Saran wrap & use uncoated freezer paper. It was so DISAPPOINTING! Then when you take the meat out, the coated paper sticks to the meat & you have to try to rub it off. You can't peel it off cause it's like wet paper. WASTE of money. The cost for this is a rip off.

We hunt all year long, and we hunt to eat, so we use bulk quantities of freezer paper. I ordered the paper because I was no longer able to get the rolls at my local supplier, and I was very pleased with the results: 1) a larger roll for a better price, 2) easy dispensing, and 3) good quality. I will order this product again.

Paper was much thinner than I expected. Used it to process my deer. I had to use two sheets to properly wrap the meat without it showing through. Will use it until it's all gone but won't purchase it again.Update: After processing 25# of pork sausage the paper stuck to the meat after it was wrapped and sat a few days. YES the shiny wax side was against the meat. We'll have to soak the frozen packages to remove this thin film anytime we want to use some. Pain in the @$$. Throwing the rest of the roll away. :(

I bought this same paper 2 years ago, same company, heavy duty, this time it says heavy duty but has been cheapened, not heavy duty.

We've used this for everything from wrapping meat for the freezer to lining molds for handmade soap. It's great stuff and will serve us well for many years and many purposes.

So the only reason I gave this a 2 star is the fact that it came in such a large roll and in a dispenser box. Other than that this is not heavy duty paper, it's as thin as notebook paper, and after using it for meat and thawing it, the paper falls apart and sticks to the meat. Do not buy this if you're planning on using it for meat. It says plastic coated but thats a joke, any moisture at all that touches this paper turns it into tissue paper. Once again don't use this fir meat.

This brand is the thinest paper I have ever purchased for wrapping meat for the freezer. Just be forwarned that if you intend to use this for meat wrapping, you will be disappointed in the quality.I would not recommend this brand
