Got this as a replacement part for my Kenmore Elite dishwasher and it does a great job. Fits the drain hose and air gap as expected and installation was straightforward. If you're planning to replace your drain hose, do note that this is an _extension_ and not the entire drain hose. The drain hose will have a 90 degree connection with a check valve in it and will likely cost more than this part. The drain hose connects to the dishwasher, this part then connects to the drain hose on one end and the air gap (or your disposer/sink/etc depending on the setup) on the other.

I originally purchased a universal dishwasher hose from a local big box store when installing our Whirlpool dishwasher after our remodel, it did not fit. I went online and looked up the exact model of dishwasher we had (found on inside of dishwasher, L hand side) and found this on Amazon. The Whirlpool store was out but one of their suppliers had it. Easy to install, works great, no complaints. I thought I would be annoyed that it didn't have an elbow joint where it connects to the garbage disposal but no issues there. Note, you will need to buy separately or reuse the clamps that were used previously.

I bought this for my Kitchen Aid model KUDI02IRBS1 to replace the hose extension (the hose that connects the dishwasher drain hose to the garbage disposal) for one that had not be looped correctly. The extension has a gray fitting on one end that connects to the disposal while the other end has no fitting; it gets inserted into the red end of the disposal hose that is shown in the picture. I've included images of the old and new extensions. I reused the existing spring clamps. The extension was just what I needed. Shout out to Alex T for emphasizing that this is an extension, not a replacement for the dishwasher drain hose that attaches to the dishwasher sump.

Our dishwasher drain line needs to loop up above our garbage disposal per code. This extension allowed us to do that and pass inspection. It wasn’t at any of the box stores, so I’m glad we found it here!

I purchased this because our dishwasher was no longer draining. Inspection showed that the old hose was thoroughly clogged with gunk. While I'm sure I could have cleared out the old hose, this was cheaper than my time would have cost (and it didn't have the odor of the old hose; drain hoses can get nasty).The Good:- New drain hose to get your dishwasher draining again.- Good value.- Correct end to connect to a disposal.The Bad:- Annoying to have to remove the dishwasher to correctly route the hose through the anti-siphon loop guides.

First I bought some random no-name brand drain, but it was so thin it wanted to collapse on itself unless stretched out pretty straight. This Whirlpool one is MUCH thicker and stiffer. I'd buy it even if it were twice as much, and it was not even that much more than the generic.

It was the proper part for my Kenmore dishwasher. I returned a generic dishwasher hose to hardware store as needed proper connections on both ends of replacement hose
