I used this tape for the painting below. The tape came off the canvas very easily. If you zoom in, there’s some areas where the paint bled through a bit under the tape. A lot of paint was being used. Overall I was happy with the results.

Great artist tape and a good value. What more is there to say? I used this tape on lots of things but since I'm an artist I also use it for all art-taping needs, and it does the job. It's easy to write on, especially with a marker.

UPDATED REVIEW: Outstanding customer service! I didn't even complain to the company or try to return the product, but they contacted me to offer a refund. I declined the refund because I'm positive I can find other options for the tape I bought. They did mention a lower viscosity tape and will be sending me a sample. This superstar customer service will make me willing to try other products they sell. They did not ask me to change my review, it's my decision to do so because, while the tape did not meet my needs, it is of good quality and I'm sure I can find other uses for it in my craft room.-----Original review-----I find that it sticks "tighter" than regular masking tape and tears my watercolor paper, even when I use my heat gun to soften before removing. Won't be buying this tackiness level again - at least not for watercolor paper.

I use this as borders before I watercolor my own hand made greeting cards…. This keeps my borders clean and doesn’t tear the card on removal… I will keep repurchasing as needed!

Great tape for my watercolor projects. Remove it slowly from your paper to avoid tearing.

I like the feel, the uniform way it holds a watercolor painting to a board or mat. Seems much better than ordinary painters tape

I keep searching for a low tack tape for art boarders that WILL NOT PULL UP AND RIP THE PAPER that my finished artwork is on. This was - again - not it!!! This has a higher tack than I expected and is no better than standard masking tape from the hardware store. I use an illustration board, and this tape still tore the paper from the board. Back to my search!

I was anticipating that I found a good watercolor border tape. However this doesn’t work any better than masking tape :( this was really expensive to fail the test. Soon a pinch I tried transparent scotch tape & It works great! Who knew? Now you do too. :)
