It makes a tight seal and does not leak. It works very well.But there's one little problem... you need access to both sides to install it.

This spigot works perfectly for a rain barrel that you can't reach the inside of. I had tried several others but couldn't get them tight enough. This one was super easy to install and does not leak!

Everything you need to hook up that rain barrel. Seems sturdy. Gaskets are pliable and tough. No complaints.

my water barrel had a hole previously drilled close to the bottom so I was having trouble finding a spigot or plug that fit. This worked great as the nut wasn't too big and it screwed on perfectly. Would buy again.

Installation was a snap using the two flex seals supplied. I have a different PVC valve setup on a different barrel which is too long once assembled for use and is a straight line discharge which is not convenient at all. This was low profile and because it is metal will not accidently be broken off and not sticking out like a sore thumb. Plus it has just the right angle for filling buckets or watering cans.

Everything in the package was as described, and it installed easily. I was a little concerned because the pre-drilled hole for our rain barrel is somewhat inset (not fully rounded) and I was afraid the spigot would not close fully, but it works well. I would note that there were no instructions included in the package, but I was able to figure it out.
