using to clip sunshade over pergolathe clips are lightweight and easily deformed, so be carefulfor light duty they work well and are a heck of a valuethey do have holes under the red grips which can be used for string or screws...update I bought another 64of the total 72, 1 had a flaw with the red coveringtotally satisfied with these for my little jobAND they shipped superfast!

These are nice, lightweight little clips - but they do not have a particularly strong hold. If you're looking for something with a tight grip, buy a different brand. They are effective at holding things together, but they don't really press your pieces together.

I needed some clips to hang paintings on a wire line. These were strong enough to hold the art and they stayed up for the show. No sharp edges. Well made and seem of good quality. Can use them over and over for other art shows. Happy with these!

Clamp has a lot of strong holding power. My favorite tool in the kitchen!! No more twist ties or easily broken plastic bread tabs in my house. I replace all vegetable bags with these clamps too. Hard part it’s remembering to remove them before tossing the food. Get a big supply.

These are a great value, sized as described but as others mentioned, they were not strong enough for their needs. I think these could have great uses and they're a bargain. I wanted to use them to clamp small pieces of wood together (guitar parts) when gluing them. Perfect size little clamp but not strong enough. My scientific observation when I did a finger pinch test between these clamps and a standard wood clothespin is that the clothespin won by a small margin. I hope this observation helps you. I found the same size clamps with stronger springs at a big box store.

I did not read the size description when I purchased these. They were not big enough for the intended use but works well for clips on chip bags.

Clips have very little force. This is written in the description, but holding more than some paper/card is probably more than they can handle. I'm still not sure what exactly these are best suited for.
