I've used this item once so far. I'm happy with it. I liked that it didn't have moving parts that contact the wine/mead, making it easier to clean and sanitize. I had been using the handle end of a long plastic spoon to degas wine in the carboys. I'm hopeful that this is as effective while being easier and perhaps faster. I will update if that isn't the case, but for now I like it a lot. It does wobble a bit, but it isn't difficult to use at all.

Got this for my husband for Christmas. He recently started making mead, and in a 5-gallon container, this whip is very helpful and necessary. Works well.

OK it was my choice to buy this item. I knew it was over $20 with taxes when I pushed the “buy now†button. I looked elsewhere to find a better price to no avail. After receiving it I have an extreme case of buyers’ remorse. And after using it I’m ashamed of myself for being so lazy I couldn’t stir the carboy by hand for a few minutes and save the 20 bucks. On the upside, the little bent piece of metal does stir your wine. Another benefit is it fits in the carboy neck where your spoon or paddle wouldn’t. So if you are lazy and have no shame, with a lot of money, this will work great.

Used on a 3 gallon carboy, and it was fine. It feels shorter than needed/expected, but it still totally worked all the same. Debatable if needed, but a quality tool if you end up buying it.

I used this for wine mixing and it was great. If you need something strong and to make a good mix. Get this.

Overall I am happy with this and recommend the product. 3.5 stars because it is really just a bent metal rod with a plastic tip I think 3.5 stars is a lot of praise 😂 It works, it is a very well made metal rod with a plastic tip it performs as described.Cons...could be longerPossible Improvement needed could somehow 'roughen up' the metal where you attach the drill.

I like that this is all one piece. No moving parts, or points of potential failure. It also really works! My first time using it, I whipped my mead into a frenzy, and it foamed over, making a sticky mess. So be warned. This is a good thing though, just be careful.I also recently used it for mixing priming sugar (honey+water) into my bottling bucket. I did this 2 or 3 times throughout the bottling process, to keep the heavier honey from settling to the bottom, which it tends to do.This is a very easy, quick way to mix up even a 6+ gallon batch.

I bought this to use with wine kits. For years I've just been degassing by hand, but it's real time consuming. What a difference this attachment has made.I just got a chance to use it for the first time on 2 wine kits I have going.Instead of spending 15 minutes stirring each kit manually , I had both kits degassed in a matter of minutes with this thing. It was amazing seeing all the CO2 instantly foam up to the surface in a matter of seconds.I saw some low-rated reviews saying it does not work, but I don't see how it can't work unless your drill speed is set too low or something.Another one said that it's unbalanced. But I did not find that to be the case at all. I could easily hold it in place while it was spinning at very high speeds.Overall, I think it's kind of expensive at $20 considering it's just a piece of metal, but I can't deny that it works great. Recommended!

It is a solid rod of stainless. Little pricey . It works in one gallon and 5 gallon Fermenter's .
