I purchase this wood burning set to replace an old one and I was surprised to how many templates and accessories I received. The iron is a 30 watts more than sufficient to do a great job doing wood burning, it also heat up fast and as a great convenience has a temperature control rotary bottom on the cable. This is a plus it makes your job a lot easier to be able to regulate to a desired temperature. It comes with a complete easy to understand instructions, the accessories are easy to exchange to any style you may be working on it. I am sure I can do a lot new styles artwork with this pretty complete set. I am happy I purchase it and my family will get a good use of this set too.

Overall I was looking for a quick and easy yet versus a tour site that I can use for above wood-burning and soldering. I can say this site has definitely met both of those needs and I am happy with it. That being said, there are definitely a few areas for improvement...Pros:- Tons of Attachments:This thing came with everything from a ruler/ 2.0mm mechanical pencil (which I had NO idea even existed!), to starter solder & letter/number templates all packed and ready to go in a nice little carrying case.- Variable Temperature Selector Dial:Many products in this price range can typically be just all the way on or all the way off. It seems like a small thing but being able to adjust your temperature for more delicate projects like expensive computer motherboards is very nice!- Well-Written Instruction Manual:This is another one of those areas that is often overlooked on cheaper products, with the instruction manuals often containing incoherent broken English and/or erroneous instructions.I am please to say that is not the case here! This manual is very easy to understand, and written quite well with easy to follow sections.- Hot knife attachment includedCons:- The soldering iron stand, and starter solder are definitely a bit cheap. They are certainly still usable, I would just like to have seen a little bit higher quality on both.- Variable Temperature Selector Dial doesn’t include actual temperature markings: To me this seems like a real oversight, if you’re going to add an adjustable dial why not also include the temperature range on that dial?

I orders this to make some homemade Christmas gifts and it broke immediately after changing out the first tip . Then the stand to hold it is super flimsy, I was disappointed to say the least.

Good item if you’re on a budget, the stand was cheaply made, but functional. The variety of tips is definitely a plus. I would recommend letting the tool cool down COMPLETELY as the tips will break inside of the tool making it unable to use any further.

I was excited when my package arrived. I had some wooden coasters I wanted to try this burner on to make xmas gifts. It took some time to get used to since it was my first time but it worked well. It got quite hot when I left it on to warm up. It was easy to hold but i had to put it down every so often because my hand started to cramp due to issues with my hand. I coated the coasters with resin after and they came out amazing! Happy with my purchase.I’ve yet to try every tip. If you plan on buying this, be sure to wear a mask as the smoke can get irritating.

I love this product. works well and is intuitive as far as the set up goes. They come with a bunch of burner tips too compared to a lot of other sets which allowed for really good details when it came to designing smaller pieces. I was looking into doing things like jewelry and i feel like it works perfect for that. I do wish there was something inside the manual that tells you what each tip could be used for shading, ect, because I had no clue. I am rating this on the tool itself though and that is fantastic. If you are a beginner maybe buy a book too so you know what each piece can do.

I am a super seriously complete novice, completely bought this on a whim of thinking it might be something I would like to try. That being said, I would have liked to see better instructions with it....... I just looked at it and like the words of one of Rush's songs, wondered 'what can this strange device be?" Obv, I get the soldering iron part, but all the different 'bits' left me bewildered. However, I tinkered about with it for a while and sort of picked up the gist. So far, it hasnt disappointed me and Im quite happy with this kit to help me learn the art of pyrography.. Another, really no brainer is that they could specify that the plastic templates are for use with the pencil to draw the design onto the wood - fortunately my brain cell kicked in before my enthusiasm to use them with the hot iron did :) All in all..... I am highly satisfied with the kit, ....if my interest /enthusiasm dwindles then so beit - it hasnt cost me much to give it a try.

I'm not sure if I just got a faulty item seeing as I read all the reviews and they were really good. However, I used it once to do some simple line work on wood and it fell apart! The plastic casing melted where the metal met it and the tip melted off , I can't get the screw part out as it's melted flush to the base!Not a great experience
