This was my second attempt with our two dogs and 1 cat and an automated bowl. I was prepared for the worst, but hopeful that had figured out what would work.The instructions that came with it were decent and there isn't a large number of parts to it so that kept it pretty straight forward. You can use it plugged in or by keeping it charged and there are three modes it can run in, 2 that can be used any time, 1 that will only run if plugged in.The bowl is fairly large. I'm not sure the size but it seemed like a lot more than my gallon bowl. There are two compartments in the bowl. The top compartment is shallow and holds the clean water available for your pets. When it pumps new water out, it will also drain old water back into the 2nd compartment to prevent overflowing and for the water to go through the filter and and run through again.The first mode will release water each time the sensor detects a pet (or person, it doesn't really care). While it's putting out filtered water, it drains the water that was there when it started back into the under-section to go through the filter process and be spit out later when a pet approaches.The second mode deposits and drains like above but in 30 minute intervals instead of the sensor.The third behaves like a fountain, cycling continuously. This is the mode that requires power.There's a small hum from the motor when it runs as well as the sound of the cleaned water flowing in.I'm not sure what would equally compare, but the Petsafe Automatic Litterbox when the litter box sweeps through seems quite a bit louder.My animals were all suspicious but slowly snuck in and tried it out that evening. two days later and they're all drinking from it like it was any other bowl. In the case of my pets, I think a large part of the success was that the bowl is stainless steel. I'd looked for a stainless steel automatic because they go through the water so quickly in the regular one at home. I don't know why but have assumed it was colder in stainless steel and since they were all drinking it so fast, it was also fresher.We are definitely happy with this bowl and my end up switching more over.

We have two large mastiff/labs who are a little picky about their water bowl. THey like the water to be fresh and moving and prefer to drink out of the cat's fountain which they drain quickly. So I got them this bowl and it solved multiple problems:1. It's huge, holding a LOT of water. I don't have to fill it often.2. It fountains when anyone gets near it, so the dogs think it's constantly running (haha). The fountain motor is silent -- can't hear it.3. It doesn't have a cord so I can put it anywhere, charge lasts a long time4. The water is filtered and always looks clean5. The tray on the top is shallow so they can't pull up a huge amount of water in their jowls and drip it all over the floor. This is a huge problem with mastiffs, due to their mouth shape, so I have to have these kinds of "slopper stopper" water bowls. This one works (the thing I was most concerned about).6. Stainless steel, no plastic, easy to clean and keep cleanSuper happy with this, would recommend to anyone with large, sloppy, picky dogs.

I really liked that this fountain came with its own AC adapter. It may seem like something very small but so many companies nowadays just assume that you have a spare adapter laying around. I really like that there are three moods on this fountain including sensor, timer, and continuous. I think if I had any gripe I wish that the water pressure from the pump was a little strong stronger. I also do not like that there is a small lip before water hits the filter. Meaning if your dog has food particles in its mouth and drinks water it is going to be caught in the bowl and not washed down to the filter. Other than this I really like the large capacity and my dog seems to like it as well. Oh, and I like that it came with a handful of filters. Normally when you buy a filter like this you were only given one or two to incentivize you to buy more. I like that this fountain came with a six month supply

Very nice pet water fountain that is superb for large breed dogs. I like the concept of filtering the water throughout the day, as I my large breed dog freely drinks plenty of water ( we don’t limit water intake). While there are 3 functional settings such as being in a sensor/ timer/continuous Water flow. Battery life is great as well, I haven’t needed to charge since turning it on for the first time use which was about a week and a half ago. I have it in the sensor, perhaps this doesn’t require as much battery. Super easy to clean, filters cans be replaced with easy, and the wireless filter can be recharged. My pup approves!

I have had a water fountain for my cats for a year. My two big dogs love it as much as my cats, but they were draining the little fountain too quickly. I was looking for a silent water fountain that was super easy to clean, but also held enough water for two dogs at approx. 70 pounds each. My dogs not only love this fountain, my cats love it, and I do too! I am thinking of buying a second one!
