Instructions for Reactivation
You can reactivate the silica gels following these instructions. The drying compound can be reused once the dark green beads revert back to orange.
Reactivation Methods:
1. Oven Method:
- Time: 0.5 to 2 hour
- Temperature: 200°F to 250°F (93°C to 121°C)
- Spread the silica gels evenly on a baking sheet and place them in the oven.
- Monitor the process, and once the beads turn orange, the reactivation is complete.
2. Microwave Method:
- Time: 7 to 10 minutes
- Mode: Defrost
- Spread a thin layer of silica gels on a microwave-safe plate.
- Set the microwave to the defrost mode and run it for 7 to 10 minutes.
- Check the beads, and when they return to orange, the reactivation is done.
Note:
The reactivation process duration can vary based on the quantity of silica gel being reactivated. Exercise caution and monitor closely during reactivation to prevent overheating.

I used this to dry my daughters' wedding bouquet. I did it flower by flower, not the bouquet as a whole because I'm using flowers for a resin project. I did have to buy more silica, 5lbs was not enough for all the flowers. This kit is not big enough for a bouquet unless it's very small one. You will need a bigger container and a lot more silica. It did the job.

This is a complete kit for preserving flowers by drying with silica gel including the desiccant, gloves, eye protection, surgical mask, beaker, spoon, fine brush and an airtight box. My wife, with no prior experience using the desiccant for drying flowers was able to preserve a pretty flower arrangement, which is now on display. The 5 lbs of silica gel is reusable, with orange crystals that change to green when they become saturated with moisture. I'm glad she can preserve the flowers so I don't have to buy them so often (lol).

Good stuff, dries out the air quickly in a container, and therefore dries what's in it. Great for flowers, although it also helped with a phone that got wet. Comes with some supplies, although the gel is the real star of the show. The container is a decent size, it has some safety items (glasses and gloves), a measuring cup, and some odds and ends. Great for drying flowers and other plants.
