i'm very new to wood burning, and this tool was very user friendly. the manual was very helpful and i was able to get started wood burning very quickly. some of the stencils are very cute, but the design is to tight that it was hard to get the same look without free handing the design.

I've used many different types of wood burning kits, and this is easily the worst...even for the cheap price. The tip doesn't get hot enough to burn soft pine, which should have been easy. Though the tip gets too hot to touch, it is NOT a wood burner. It comes with lots of attachments, and it looks nice, but its function is awful. It's only $20, but it isn't worth even $1. Bypass this one for something else.

I have used this iron for a couple years now to do multiple things, including wood-burning heat inserts, and soldering it has held up and with stood the test of time. Highly recommend.
