Before I bought just the brand. I would have to heat it up with the yellow bottle of map gas. And then it was difficult to get a clean brand with the temperature differences. This works much better heats the brand up evenly and makes a nice crisp brand

This lit on fire the first time I used it. It could have been a disaster. I'm still waiting for my email back from seller and the return policy says I won't get Money back since it's been used. Very frustrating

Works great, gets very hot. Should have different size thread adapters to attach your ends to.

Being a frugal ( cheap) guy I spent a lot of time looking for an electric iron for branding my logo on my furniture builds.Tested Iron and stamp using a variac to regulate current and voltage to gradually break in.Asked about adaptability from regular to electric and it was a go.Need to practice on different species of wood to improve clarity.It worked. Sometimes going the cheaper( less expensive rout takes more time than it is worth.This time it worked!

Wonderful addition to my woodworking toolbox. It takes a few tries to learn the time/pressure but truly takes an item to the next skill level. It’s well worth it if you like to carve or any woodworking hobby.

I have bought 5 or 6 of these Branders in the past year. I do not recommend this product if your business needs a brander on a daily basis. It will work for a few weeks then after that it will not heat to temperature.

It’s better for me to heat the branding iron with electricity one a stand than have to hod a torch to the iron . I have tried both ways. Electric heat is more even and consistent. With a torch you can get the iron too hot.

The logo portion of the iron turned out well and is still in tact, however the handle was very hot to the touch and burned out within a month of use (not heavy duty use). It was difficult, even when it was working, to get a consistent and even brand.
