It came packaged nice and neatly in the box. The knives all have coverings so you don't accidentally cut yourself when you're not using them. However, all the knives need to be sharpened. The wood is soft to the touch and sturdy, but some of the blocks are so small I've been wondering what to do with them. Overall, a great kit for beginners

The tools are very sharp and seem to hold an edge well. I only carve occasionally. May not hold up to professional use. Good for use like mine.

This is my first time wood carving, so I can't compare it to anything, however this kit seems to be a good value for all that you get! The chisels seem sharp and sturdy and it came with everything it said it would. 10/10!

The knives are good but the wooden blocks are a bit too large.

The knives came sharpish, but needed a bit of work to make them carving sharp. The handles are pretty good, just the perfect size for an adult's hands. The price I bought them at was very reasonable and wasn't a big commitment for someone just testing the water to see if they like carving. Once you get serious you'll most likely want to upgrade to a better knife with better steel though as I find the steel a bit soft and needs honing about 3x as much as my better knives.

The only complaint for me is that the blocks of wood are quite large as was thinking of starting with a smaller project for the first time. The knives are easy to hold. The whittling knife blade is also a bit large, great for starting the project, but too big for finer details.

I bought this set as a gift for someone else. Once I saw the quality, I purchased a set for myself. I can't think of any cutting tools not included in this set.
