I have three long-haired dogs who require grooming two-three times a week. This wooden handled grooming comb is the best tool I've use for them. The handle is comfortable in the hand. I have a short-haired cat who, for some reason, has become extremely matted. She suffers from hyperthyroidism so that may be the cause but she was looking really scruffy. I've been using this comb on her and it's amazing how well it's working. I can only do a bit at a time because she doesn't like it, but it's made a huge difference. Once all the mats are gone, I'm going to continue using this comb for weekly cleanups.

This comb is great for smaller dogs. My dog loves it probably because it feels like a massage. I have bought several. Unfortunately, after some time the handles and comb part separate. So I get another one. Still so easy to hold and come with. I actually do love it. Fits well into you hand and feels so comfortable. Good price. Just gave it 4 stars cause it does not last forever (almost nothing does).
