Bought the large and it's perfect size for my rat boys. I think if I would have gone smaller it would be hard for them to play through. Comes with plenty of zip ties but I chose to prop it on the second level and it's really sturdy

The product is well-made and already assembled, which is nice. All you have to do is mount them to the cage with the included zip ties. I was worried that they'd get chewed to bits, but once my rats realized they were for climbing, I haven't seen them nibble on them at all. They use them all the time now! My goal was to get them to stop climbing the sides of the cage because I worry about the comfort of their feet. This solved the problem. I only rate four stars because it did take me and my partner to mount them. I held them in place where I wanted them, and then my boyfriend zip tied them.

Well made but too large for a typical cage. Would work for a critter nation cage.

Rats are loving it. I did switch out the zip ties for a heavy duty one so rats won't chew through it. So far success.

We actually use this for a squirrel that we rescued. He enjoyed climbing on this and learned to climb on this.The only complaint I have is that it relies on cable ties to make sure that it stays assembled. If you don't secure it carefully it could actually collapse and pinch whatever is climbing on it. So be careful, and make sure that you secure it properly! I wish there were a better way to secure it than just cable ties, because whatever is playing on it will likely want to chew on the cable ties. But in the end, it was helpful.
