I invested in this generously sized wool pressing mat specifically to enhance my professional pillow-making process. I placed it on my cutting table to make pressing pillow covers much more convenient. Now, the entire pillow fits perfectly on the pad, allowing for efficient and precise pressing. What's more, my iron came with a rubber pad that I can easily place on the surface of the wool mat, ensuring easy access to my iron while working. After pressing, I followed up with a lint comb to effectively remove any lint and loose threads that remained from constructing the pillows. This extra step helps ensure a clean and professional finish. All in all, I can confidently say that this wool pressing mat was a worthwhile investment for my sewing projects.

Wish I'd had one of these years ago. Instead of pulling out my oversized ironing board that takes up a ton of space in my little sewing room, I know can lay this on my cutting table when needed and can iron away. Perfect size too. Can't recommend highly enough.

I have numerous wool pressing mats in various sizes from various sellers that I use for quilting. I recently set up an ironing station with a Lifetime folding adjustable height table (48†wide x 24†deep x 36†high), a yoga mat (for protection and nonslip surface), a large ironing mat/cover that protects the table top, and this 24†x 36†wool pressing mat (to replace a smaller thinner wool pressing mat) on top. There’s just enough room to the right for my Rowenta steam iron. It’s a very useful practical setup. The wool mat is much thicker than most of my other wool mats, which means much less steam and heat, if any, will make it through to the cover, yoga mat, and table surface underneath. And it doesn’t smell when the steam hits it. It’s more expensive than others sold on Amazon, but it’s thicker and worth every penny.

Perfect for my small space. Good padding and it works well so far. I read other reviews about the smell, but so far I haven't really notice it.

I bought this size to fit in my small cutting area right by my machine. It really helps in pressing seams flat.

I have 3 of these in different sizes. You can iron right on them when quilting or doing wool applies without needing an ironing board. Great for quilt retreats too.

I like the large size of the mat, and how thick it is. It does not get hot where it lays on the bottom of my desk.

I have a smaller version of this ironing mat and I love it. This one came inside a well designed carrying case with an iron rest. It is the ideal quilting or any ironing project mat. It is thick and heavy. My smaller version is 6 years old and is still like new. It’s firm, makes nice creases. I don’t write reviews but I could go on all day on this one

I have two sizes of wooo mats from 2 different companies. This one melted to my iron. The other one never has. This one ruined my iron.
