This is the first time I have tried felting. I found it to be a good introductory kit to see if it is a new hobby I want to start. The instructions were clear enough to get the idea of what to do in the videos (accessed via QRL).It definitely takes some practice and care. I made the chicken and it turned out fun. I'm working on a couple others at the moment. The kit has enough material to make all of the animals pictured as long as you don't oversize them.It would be easier if the felting pad was larger. I also think the needles could be better. They were a bit oxidized (four single straight needles included). The videos have someone using multipoint needles and these are not included, leaving some uncertainty about how to get the right final project with just single needles. I have jabbed myself quite a few times. The blue tape included did not save me; it is just a hazard of the hobby!

I’ve never needle felted and found this easy kit. Comes with a QR code to veiw video instructions for each of these farm animals. Everything needed is included in this kit. Kids should be able to do this easily as long as they are old enough to work with a sharp needle. Suggest keeping those finger gloves on ! Fun way to start a new craft! First timer results pictured:)

Perfect starter kit! The roving balls are big enough for several critters. The pad works great. The instructions are good but the book Wool Buddies gives better details and more options.

Everything you need to give needle felting a try is included in this kit. (I would recommend finger protectors, though, because when those sharp needles pierce your skin, it's not fun. 😬) There is a booklet with detailed instructions on a couple of the animals, and the rest can be found with the QR code on the inside of the box. I am super happy with the way my piggy turned out and am already started on my next one. 😊

Love this kit. As a beginner, the instructions were very clear. Watching the video helped. The cow took about 2.5 hours. Would recommend!
