WORKDONE Bright LED
This innovation makes hard drive indicator lights brighter. The server backplane has activity LED, and LED signal lights are transferred to a special plastic rail to the front of drive caddy. Indicator lights show important statuses from the hard drive. The hard drive's green activity indicator and the green and amber status indicator are now cleaner and brighter.
Practical Front Labels
Mark and clue sticker label to dedicated place on the front of drive caddy. Two different Sticker Label surface types included. Use Permanent Marker or Ballpoint Pen to mark your empty Sticker Labels. Make it more visual - mark and see your RAID Volume or individual disks - without removing Hard Drives. Heavy Duty Screws
It might sound ridiculous, but one of the most common problems we see is missing mounting screws or screws that are simply the wrong size. And, obviously, without the proper screws, you can’t install your hard drive. We also add some extra screws in case the small screws disappear.
What’s the purpose of a hard drive carrier?
Hard drive carriers are multipurpose. The hard drive carrier/frame/removable hard drive enclosure is just a modified drive bay that allows a standard hard drive in a carrier assembly to be removed and inserted with little effort. The carriers have a release handle that can be used to push the drive out of the server.
What’s the server backplane?
Hard drive connectors have to hit backplane connectors precisely, or the entire installation won’t work. That’s another function of the hard drive carrier – it physically holds the hard drive in the correct position so the connectors meet.
How to check server drive bay size?
You can’t choose the correct hard drive or the correct drive carrier until you actually know what size drive bay your server has. You should know that before you start ordering hard drives. How can you check this? Simple: press the release button, open the release handle, and slide the hard drive with its drive carrier out of the server. Just measure it. Do you have 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives?

These replica drive caddies are perfect for your server. Check the compatibility list and make sure you measure your drive bay, you'll be good to go. These look exactly the same as the Dell part and fit well, as expected, and were very easy to install. I liked that they included extra screws as one fell into the ventilated floor as they tend to do. I only wish they included more of the plain white stickers, it's only 2 white stickers and 2 of the gray stickers per caddy, and ball point pen does not work on the gray sticker. Other than that, a perfect replacement for the Dell part at a much cheaper price point.

High quality durable construction, screw holes all lined up perfectly for both the 2.5" SSDs and the R240 hot-swap cradles. One thing to note: When placing the 2.5 SSD in the adapter, you need to push firmly to seat the SSD into the SATA connector on the adapter. If the screwholes don't appear to be lining up, push harder. This is clearly not a manufacturing issue, rather the cradle is designed to grab and firmly retain the SSD, probably even without the screws.Came with screws and a little screwdriver as well. Nothing less than optimal about these adapters.

Works great, so I can use 2.5" SSD drives on our Dell Servers without some jury-rigging the 3.5" caddy and drive as I did before.Well built and includes screws.

I was looking at the price Dell wanted for the same hard drive caddy. Now, I am a Preferred member, a veteran, and a business customer, and even with all of the discounts and special deals they give me, this was still cheaper. Don’t get me wrong. By ‘cheaper’ I mean less expensive, not lower quality. In fact, while I had the server powered off, I compared the one hot swap caddy that came with the server. They were identical. I will buy the same product again.

the caddy was a fit for my Dell Server . After ordering the wrong smaller 2.5 " caddy's these cam complete with a small screwdriver to fit the 4 set screws to the hard drives and a nice paper quide for completion of the install . although the process is very simple for insertion the steps helped and the product packaging was complete and relevant . Would order this 4 pack again for next project for simplicity
