For quick trims, the WORX 20V shrubber/shear is your grab-n-go hedge trimmer. No need to gas up or plug-in the full-size trimmer when just a few blades need to be cut or a couple of leaves were missed over the weekend.
It’s only 2 lbs and has a comfortable to grasp over-mold soft-grip handle, so it also makes a perfect trimmer for those who have trouble with larger lawn & garden tools.
With a no-load speed of 1100/min and two tool-free easy to change blades for grass or shrubs, it has the power and functionality to be your regular hedge trimmer, as well.
The dual-action cutting blades catch everything twice, leaving your shrubs even and clean.
And with a 5/16” cutting capacity, it slices through thicker twigs than you would expect from such a small machine.
You can even purchase a pole attachment (WA0040, sold separately) to get the trees or tall hedges without having to stand on a stool or a ladder.
Plus, this shrubber/shear comes with a 20V 1.5 Ah PowerShare battery, which you can use to operate every tool on the PowerShare platform.
This trimmer is a perfect complement to any large collection, a wonderful little stand-alone tool if you’re serious about your shrubs, trees, bushes, and hedges, or a great solution to those with hands that tire easily.

This has been the perfect trimmer for when I need to do a quick touch-up but don't want to get the full-size clippers out. It is very lightweight but still has enough power to get through foliage and thin stems when using the trimmer attachment. The clipper attachment has a bit more cutting ability, and works well when cutting down perennials, or for giving an edging trim for creeping evergreens. I don't use it for grass trimming (use a string trimmer for that) but I expect it would handle grass and weeds very well based on how it has performed with perennials.Swapping the blades is simple but keep in mind this is not a heavy-duty machine. If you take care when swapping blades there's no issue with anything breaking. It uses the same 20v battery as other Worx machines. I have a few of those, so I got this as the tool-only version. The ergonomics are very good -- this is way more comfortable to use than other similar mini clippers I've tried. It won't come close to replacing a full size hedge trimmer, but it's effortless to use and a very good option for light trimming.

I'm a 76-year-old with a large yard and much landscaping. I have six spirea located in my garden areas and holding my corded hedge trimmer was just becoming too much for my back. I searched for cordless trimmers and came across this WORKX brand with a 20V battery and knew I'd found the ONE! I have a WORX cordless trimmer/edger combo and a WORX cordless blower that I bought many years ago. I use them at least once a week during warm weather, and they are still going strong. This cordless shrub trimmer does a great job. Lightweight, easy to maneuver, no cord to trip over, and timesaving as well. After charging the battery, I trimmed two spirea in about 15 minutes or less. You won't be sorry if you're looking for a shrub trimmer and choose this one. I'm showing the shrub trimmer attachment, but there's also a grass trimmer. Both are easy to remove and install. This is a five-star winner!

Trimming up small bushes was a breeze. I love that it’s lightweight & easy to handle. It really did a nice job as it allowed lots of control in producing a nice rounded plant. So glad I found this as the long, heavy trimmers are just to heavy for me. AND, one can just order the trimmer without the battery pack if they want a second trimmer. Sounds good to me. The instructions were lacking just a bit, but it was easy to figure it all out (hence the 4 stars).

Excellent trimmer. Works on relatively thick stems as well. The battery lasted several hours on a single charge. Lightweight and easy to use.

This Worx Tool with two sets of clippers is fantastic! Both clipper styles are sharp and get the work done quickly and with nice clean cuts. I already have two batteries (which I use with other Worx products), so I always have plenty of power for any task. If you are looking for clippers for basic shrub or small tree maintenance (or to clean up your perennial garden at the end of the season) this tool will more than serve your needs.

I had been using a hand clipper to trim grass when gardening, but that was hard on my wrist and took a lot of time. I'd had a rechargeable clipper many years ago and was not impressed with its battery life (short), so I was hesitant to buy one again, but they have come a long way, and this shear is great. I have only charged it once since I got it and it keeps going, hasn't needed another charge yet. It works quietly and smoothly and is very lightweight and easy to use. It also has a shrub trimmer blade, but I haven't used that yet, although I have no reason to think it wouldn't be just as nice as the shear. Very glad I made this purchase, well worth the money, as it makes gardening so much easier, and my wrists appreciate it too.

I have been using this trimmer, shrubber for a short time now. It is fairly lightweight easy to use and has a decent runtime with the standard battery. I can’t comment on its overall longevity at this point. However, so far I’m really satisfied with the way it works. Does what it’s supposed to do in a compact and easy to use package. I have other worx products that I use regularly and I have had no complaints with those either.

I'm the nominal "head gardener" of several gardens in our condo development (yes! Our condo association lets us garden! Free landscaping and labor; what's not to like?). This battery-operated mini trimmer/grass shear has so far been a boon to me.Our groundskeepers have been asked to not weed-whack right up to the edge of our gardens; they end up whacking the perennials growing on the margins. I have committed to cleaning up those margins myself. Instead of several days on my kneeler with a hand clipper, I spend an hour or so with this mini-trimmer/shear and job done! As a 71 year-old with increasingly creaking parts and increasing intolerance to sun, heat and humidity, the time this thing saves me is much appreciated. I live in Vermont where our summers are becoming hotter, more humid and with longer periods of drought. Higher temperatures are hitting earlier in the season (we're forecast to see low- to mid-eighties in the first week of June), so anything that will quickly get me out of the heat and humidity is a winner!I am on my garden magazine's email list for helpful hints and videos. I found out about this tool in a video from them. A gardener was talking about her five favorite, indispensable garden tools; the trimmer/shear was one of them. I like it so much that I am planning to buy their small leaf blower and a spare battery. The Power Share feature is a great idea; the battery is interchangeable between trimmer and blower. Only one tool at a time is used; with the spare battery fully charged, I'll be ready to go when it's time to switch over from trimming to blowing...Should further use reveal more positive (or negative) characteristics of this device, I'll revisit this review and update you all. As Rachel Maddow would say, watch this space...

The US uses different worx batteries to Australian Worx batteries. Worx 20v batteries purchased in Australia will not fit this item, DO NOT PURCHASE. Worx should not be sending this to Australia and at worst should have a disclaimer. Why different batteries???????

I also have the large Worx trimmer, which is great for trimming trees and large bushes, however, when it comes to trimming small bushes, such as Heather this smaller trimmer is excellent. The fact that it uses the same batteries is great, while looking for a trimmer I saw others obviously, one that gave 45 minutes on a charge. Well the other day I was in the garden for 3 to 4 hours trimming all the different small hedges, and when I finished, I still had almost a full charge definitely a positive. The other positive is the grass trimmer attachment that enables me to trim edges that my string trimmer cannot do effectively, I suppose the downside to it is that I have to purchase an extension pole as I don’t want to spend hours on my hands and knees.I guess if I have not necessarily a criticism, but more a suggestion, is that they could make the head a swivel head as some of the competition has and also make the power switch an on off switch for those of us with arthritis in our hands as it is very difficult to continually hold the spring loaded button. All in all a 10 out of 10, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mini hedge trimmer.

I purchased Tool for my wife & let her test it out.She Loved it, she can "Handle it no sweat" & likes the fact that once it is started she can let go of the Safety Switch. She trimmed up some grass by our window wells and a few other spots and again loved the tool! She said much easier and not as tiring as the hand held Scissors. She will be using to trim up our Geraniums.I will us the 8 inch sheers for the Tropical grasses this fall-hoping the tool works for this job!So happy she likes it.We HIGHLY recommend buying this tool, especially if your hand gets tired from trimming grass & flowers!Thank You Worx Team for a great little tool!!!
