I had a hard time focusing the lens and I was past the return date. I wrote a review and the company reached out to me and offered me a full refund because I wasnรขโฌโขt happy with their product.Because of that, I decided to try another item from this company and I canรขโฌโขt wait to use it.The the company really cares about their customers.

This is a decent scope that will work for my purposes (primarily birding.) I have a lot of experience with binoculars, less with spotting scopes. If I were using this primarily for big game hunting, I would likely pay more and get better glass. This one compares favorably (slightly better than) my previous Celestron scope (not an expensive brand.) The glass is similar (again, slightly better) than the Celestron, but it has some other points that help it by comparison. It reportedly has better magnification (my Celestron is 15-60x with a 60mm objective, vs this one's 25-75x with an 85mm objective.) But as you can see in 2 of my pictures, the magnification is confusing. There is an arrow on the retractable eyepiece for eyeglass users, but it doesn't line up with the magnification markers and I see no other mark to indicatewhere I should place the desired magnification mark. In addition, there are 2 listed magnification levels beside one another (e.g. 16x and 25x), but no way (that I can figure out) to obtain the higher number versus the lower one. The instruction booklet is very (very) basic, and does not explain this feature. So I can't really tell what magnification I'm on (other than greatest and least. Actually, I guess I'm not even sure of that!) Note that my two pictures are with the scope at the highest and lowest settings. I don't agree with most complaints about the small included tripod--it's actually OK if you plan to use it while sitting at a table. The one problem I do have with it is that it doesn't rotate easily at all. You have to grab the scope and twist the handle very hard to get it to turn. It tilts up and down without a problem. There is a small screw on top that I hoped would allow for adjusting this feature, but when loosened it didn't change anything. Otherwise, it's usable. However, as a birder (and even for road hunting/scouting) I would have preferred a window mount instead (or in addition.) This would allow for use from inside my vehicle, which I would really like to do (and would do much more often than using it on a table.) As it is, I'll be using it mainly on a real tripod (as in one of my pictures.) The camera attachment is OK, but as you can see from my pictures it isn't really likely to be something I'll be using much. The slightly darker picture is with this scope, and the lighter one with my Celestron for comparison (I had to guess at the magnification on this scope, but the Celestron was at 40x.) The advantages I mentioned include (possibly) higher magnification, the larger objective (which should make low light conditions more manageable), the offset eyepiece (which can be further adjusted around the scope), a nice carry case, and the sun shade (shown in the picture with the scope by itself and the shade extended.) This was listed at $180, and that seems reasonable for this level of quality. Don't expect a high end viewing experience at this price point, though. But for birds within 100 yards, use at the gun range, and to view objects or scenery within a few hundred yards, it works pretty well.

The dust cap was put on so tightly that I could not unscrew it without breaking it. Seems to work fine but disappointed I couldnรขโฌโขt use it without breaking the dust cap first. So not happy about that.Heard back from their product support and they will be sending a replacement to resolve the issue with the dust cap. Updated to 5 stars since I did not expected a full product replacement for this issue.

Good scope for close in distances. Best use for me is on a shooting range to view target impacts. You're not going to get the 500 yard distance close up with clairity. Better than binoculars but not some miracle scope.

This thing is awesome. Wanted one for hunting for a while, but we are getting a ton of use around the lake and the kids love it. Really clear image, better than expected because of some of the phone images I saw in the reviews. Way better with the eye. Highly recommend
