I love the idea of this yarn holder. It has several pros, and one major con.Pros:- It's soft, so you can't break it (like the wooden or plastic/acrylic versions, which I also own)- the pocket is large enough to hold stitch markers, a small tape measure, and my seam ripper (and probably a little more - but its best to keep it flat rather than packed to the seams)- I love the color and texture of the fabricCon:- the handle/holder part is sewn on off-center, making your yarn sit off-center and it causes it to bobble around a bit.The holder is sewn on with a "tab" of fabric that makes an "L" shape. It's off center, and then the fabric that holds the yarn is even more off-center because the tab has to bend upward. They really missed the mark on this. I could rip it off and sew it back on myself, but I don't know that it's worth the trouble (as I hate sewing.)I ordered a 2nd one of these just to see if it was a fluke with the first one, but the 2nd was even more off-center. I am returning that one, I'll keep the first.

This is adorable and soft. The zipper pocket is nice. I bought this because it's easily stored when traveling. However, because it is fabric the yarn does not unwind fluidly and you just end up unraveling your yarn from the hanging strap. It's more of a fight imo.

It looks handmade, which isn't bad, but I can improve this product. From the photos, I couldn't tell the quality of this Wrist Yarn Holder. It wobbles and doesn't feel sturdy or straight. I thought that the spindle that threads through the yarn was a wooden dowel instead of a piece of fabric. This makes the threading of the yarn difficult. It was also off-center in the middle of the zipper base. But it is neither, which makes for a poor-quality product.I am giving it three stars because it IS a creative product, but as I stated in the title, the execution of the production of this product is not worth five stars!

I was excited to receive my portable wrist yarn holder, but ended up very disappointed. It's soft. It's cute. However, it turned out to be utterly unusable. The loop in the center of the circle was so off-centered that it rendered the entire thing ineffective. This design flaw completely undermines the purpose of the yarn holder. It's incredibly frustrating when a product doesn't deliver on its basic promise, especially something that had so much potential.Even if I wanted to attempt fixing it by undoing the stitching and sewing the loop in the center myself, it's impossible because the corduroy is already frayed. This shows a lack of attention to detail and quality control in the manufacturing process. For a product that is supposed to make knitting and crocheting more enjoyable, this was a huge letdown. In conclusion, this portable wrist yarn holder was a good idea that was poorly executed. I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable yarn holder, as it simply doesn't perform as it should. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I tried using a different version of this kind of wrist yarn holder, and found it cumbersome, unbalanced, and more trouble than it was worth. This Painzietig yarn holder is much better. The yarn slips very easily onto it, and stays securely in place even when the thing is suspended from my wrist, hanging. It took me a little time to figure out how to get the yarn to unravel smoothly, and not get tangled in the handle (I was working with an oddly wrapped skein of a novelty yarn) but that sorted itself out pretty quickly. On the con side (but minimally so) I must say that though the product's description says we can now show off skills on airplanes, etc., many of us have been doing that for many years without a yarn holder! and for anyone with wrist or hand issues, having the yarn hang from the wrist could reawaken old discomforts.Aside from all that, this is a great addition to the knitting/crocheting array of accessories that work. I love that there are still new ideas and products for making these gorgeous, relaxing, soothing needle arts more comfortable, more fun, and accessible to more people.

Good, but the yarn keeps falling off it and gets stuck on the hook.
