These thumb screws are high quality. The threads are defined and solid. Nothing is off at all. They screw in/out smoothly as I'd hoped. The knob itself is made of an aluminum alloy and seems to be machined, not cast. Not sure how they pulled it off in manufacturing but it is perfectly executed and very strong. The pictures make the knob look like it could be plastic. It is definitely aluminum and will last a very long time... Probably longer than what you'll attach it to.These seem like a minor thing but just too nice to go uncelebrated. The manufacturer really did a great job and shows fine attention to detail. I'm pretty picky about these things, so very surprised and pleased when something exceeds my expectations. Kudos to the folks who design and build these thumb screws!I wholeheartedly recommend these knobs. They are a fantastic value. Great seller, outstanding hardware, and fast shipping.

I got these to use on my fiber laser's 5/16th thread fixture plate. The threads are good, and the nob is solid metal so it will last when it's inevitable hit by the laser.These are working very well for my application so I', glad I picked them up.

Nice looking hardware but not as advertised. Sold as 1/4 -20 x 1/2 but received 1/4 - 20 x 1. Why do this? I can cut them off but why do this?
