I bought this single-sensor Mustang version for my 2007 Ranger 4.0, and used my original thermostat cap / water outlet for proper hose direction. Works fine, nice fit. Best to view various YouTube videos closely for proper R&R, and be patient.

Update 05/05/2023No leaks or issues so far. Sensor works, thermostat works great. I have about 5-600+ miles on it so far and works great.I was a little nervous about the quality of this product but I’m surprised early on and impressed. I was expecting this to be junk. So far no leaks and the sensor works well so far and hopefully it holds up for a long time. Install takes about 2-3 hours if allGoes well. Highly recommend drawing the coolant down to make less of a mess because this is hooked up to heater, radiator and water pump so just something to think about. Also take off serpentine belt, idler pulley, Throttle body (as shown above), intake air hose, Passenger side oil breather hose, to give you the most room and keeps your Serpentine belt dry if you end up spilling coolant all over the place. Take your time don’t force anything and it should go smoothly. This comes with a new seal on the bottom but does NOT come with the 3 mounting bolts and yes a new thermostat is installed so don’t take that off since it’s pre torqued but always double check they are tight to ensure no leakage.I used this for my 2010 Mustang 4.0 V6 convertible.

Installed like 3 weeks ago, drove about 1000 miles with it on and no problems . Amazing price for the value .

This was definitely an upgrade over the plastic one they put in from the manufacturer. My sister's 2008 V6 4.0L mustang started leaking at the bottom of the OEM housing and I made the choice to go metal instead. Be aware that the thermostat is included with this housing. The big issue with that is, the thermostat was stuck shut and caused problems. Be advised to either go with the OEM thermostat or put in a higher grade brand. Other than that, everything else was good.

Fits perfect and much more reliable than the stock plastic part. Tedious but easy to install. Great pricing. No leakage.
