My log splitter engine burned out, and I was unable to loosen the set screw on the old coupler (even after hitting it with a blowtorch). Instead of messing with it any further, I decided to replace it.The three pieces of the XIKE coupler fit together so snugly, I had to pry them apart with a flathead screwdriver. The spider coupler is firm and flexible. Each jaw has a keyway and two setscrews, one of which is aligned with the keyway. The 7/8" jaw has a keyway about 0.207" wide; the 1/2" jaw has keyway about 0.135" wide. All the pieces looks to be exact replacements for the Lovejoy coupler that came with my splitter.Now all I have to do is buy that Predator engine...
