Great idea for a square serving spoon

In using this handsome hefty serving spoon, it is apparent to me that it was not designed for the use of foods with liquids, considering the depth the bowl. But oh, so handy with casseroles! In attending a family gathering, I prepared and took a broccoli casserole to my sister-in-law's home. I also took this serving spoon along with me. The meal was to be buffet style. When I put my dish on the buffet table along with the spoon inserted in the casserole, my sister-in-law noticed the spoon and said, "Oh, I LIKE that spoon! I want one!" and of course, I told her where to purchase one. Also reminding her, "Remember who it belongs to!" and she smiled.Serving spoons are not something most people would think of as giving as a gift. But this spoon is so attractive, I would consider it! Maybe, in addition to a beautiful serving bowl. Since her birthday is around the corner, my sister-in-law may get hers sooner than she thinks! She'll be delighted!

It is not intended for liquidy foods; it is not a ladle, but it's great for rice dishes, casseroles, and stir fry. I have a similar spoon that I inherited after a potluck, and I have been looking all over for another one like it, and this spoon is like the Mercedes Benz version of that.

X-Large Buffet Serving Spoon Is exactly what the title describes. It has a big scooper to get yourself more mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese or your favorite vegetable. It is perfect for your holiday gathering.It is not a great value but it can be your buffet workhorse.

Excellent quality! Good weight to it and incredibly shiny. Looks great as a serving spoon for a nice dinner too. Great size without being too long or too short. I'd definitely recommend it.

This is a nice heavy duty spoon. I don't think this will bend easy. Highly recommended if you are sick of new utensils bending and de-forming on you.

I got this to compliment the wide serving spoon (the middle one in the picture) that I already have. It is much larger, but still will come in handy. The spoon is well made, polished to a reflective shine, has no sharp edges and has a good heft to it. The three spoons pictured are the new serving spoon, a wide serving spoon I already have, and a "normal" serving spoon. (My family always called them tablespoons.)
