Used the kit to replace the top end on a 2006 CRF50 that I am building for my kid. The assembly does have some sharp edges, but all in all, it works. Some important notes:1. The cam sprocket is different than the Original. It has three bolts instead of two. I removed the cam sprocket and marked a line on the cam to indicate the location of the timing mark on the sprocket. I turned the flywheel to TDC, lined up my mark on the cam with the timing mark on the sprocket and case, and then put in the bolts. I think that the three holes may only line up one way to prevent incorrect assembly, but I never tested it.2. The valves need to to adjusted. Use a feeler gage and set them to 0.002-0.003 and set the jam nut.3. The original head had studs for the exhaust manifold, this one doesn’t. I just used two bolts from a cover off of the old head. Just make sure you remember to use the new metal o-ring for the exhaust manifold or you will get an exhaust leak.4. Make sure you oil everything. I mean that is typical practice, but it’s easy to overlook an this thing was bone dry.Once everything was installed the bike fired right up, which was awesome considering it was a barn find with a seized piston and valve.

Everything was great except the gaskets. Whoever packed the box folded the gaskets and replacements had to be purchased. It was quicker to purchase additional gaskets instead of packing it up and sending it back.

Purchased a 94 z50 that was laying in a yard a few years and unfortunately water got I'm and seized the piston. To get it all apart was tough and ruined a few oem items.. this kit was a great way to get it running and still have the solid bottom end if the bike. Tough to best honda but tough to beat this deal too.

Got the engine put back together, no more smoke, working great. Didn't notice any marks on the rings like OEM but everything seems solid. Definitely plan on doing a valve adjustment, but that's easy enough. The wrist pin was extremely stiff installing into the piston so I went with the factory Honda one instead. Otherwise, for 50$. Would buy again.

Fit my no name Chinese 50cc ATV no problem. 139fmb engine, which is apparently based of and compatible with the Honda 50s. Quality seems fine, will update after kid gets some ride time ok it.

cylinder piston head work great but cylinder gasket and head gasket did not line up cylinder gasket was broken missing a piece head gasket was not useable . I bought both gaskets at dealer as I needed them now other than that im very happy with piston the cylinder and the head im thinking maybe just bad luck on gaskets I have two more engines to do so ill try again see how it goes
