It came extremely well packaged, no damage at all. It is unpainted, matte black, but weather treated. I stripped the treatment and painted it glossy black. Installation was a snap (well, multiple snaps) as the pieces that come with it help to hold it in place. The video on the Amazon page shows you exactly how to do it and it took me roughly 10 minutes to accomplish. It fits snug, the clips hold tight, and it looks amazing. I waited a month to write this review to test the air intake issue others have had, and so far I have had no issues with the engine running hot due to poor intake. Highly recommend if you want to personalize your jeep and stand out!

Decided to paint the hood with semi gloss black. Then, clear coat a few times. Buff with compound, polish, and wax. Used boat varnish on the grill flag.The new hood locks to replace the old latches is a pain to install with the grill off. Used a small piece of finishing clay on the tip of a screw driver to connect the bolt of the driver side latch. It’s the most difficult side.Happy with the results.The only issue I had with the full install is the clips. I watched several videos and none said this one trick.The clips on the grill did not slip easily onto the Jeep. BUT the clips on the Jeep worked perfect.I had to remove the clips which was a pain, though once on the Jeep spots the grill easily clicked into place.The clips are like little teeth. Once gripped won’t budge.Due to removing the grill and the black caps I had to use the original caps as the others wouldn’t come out once installed. The original do.I’d recommend keeping your original black cap tabs in case you find yourself in a pickle during install. Or, you can buy a kit with extras.Amazing price. Amazing look. Personalize with or without paint or clear coat.Due to reviews discussing rust elected to treat the metal grill. Plus protect the plastic as I travel often so hoping this upgrade with clear coat will help the new front end last for a while on the roadâï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ðŸ’¯Update /My Jeep has the locking hood bolt. Until applying the Marin grade varnish to help with rust and add sheen didn’t realize I need to drill a sizable hole to allow me to unlock the hood.Other than this looks amazing.Several YouTube clips give various install tips.It’s a fun way to enjoy Jeep life. Mine is used for work projects and rough doorless German Shepherd adventures. The flag is what sold me. The attitude eyes second. Price, their gotta yes 🙌ðŸ¼âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ðŸ’¯

OK, some Jeep people just hate these, but I got it to keep me interested in my older Jeep. Any Jeep person knows you have to do something weekly to accessorize your ride. This just looks cool and mean and with the addition of the halo eye headlights-it really gets attention. Easy to install...Just add a couple of included bolts along the bottom where it meets the bottom of the original grill-remove that plastic 'JEEP' branded cover thing that has four screws to gain access. Then, add a couple of included bolts on top of the radiator shroud area-or, I just used a couple of body 'push on' type fasteners in those holes on top because of my carpal tunnel inability to grapple with that area. It is on tight and looks great. You might also wish, as I also did, to use some flat black rattle can spray paint on your original grill area so that your original color won't show behind this new grill. That paint is easy to remove later if your change your mind. I may even take this back off and do some paint highlighting like some I've noticed-just Google 'Wrangler gladiator grill paint' and you'll see what I'm talking about. This is well made and flawless, easy to apply, and looks good!

I was concerned that this would be a lot of work to install, but is was not. There were six or eight plastic clips at the top and that need a flat head screw driver to remove. These clips often break and are not reusable but this grill came with brand new clips as well as new metal clips for the lower section.Looks nice. Time will tell how well the plastic lasts and looks good.

Arrived 2 days later than supposed to but really happy with the grill no big issues the clips from the turning signal covers didn't slide in it was too tight so scraped a bit off the slots on the grill with an exacto knife. Came with metal clips and a bag with push pins and rubber seal for between the hood and grill which I cut down a bit like the same length of the original because I don't think it will really stay on the sides where it curves. For the price you can't go wrong. Install took about 15 minutes that's including taking the old grill off. Install really happy with it

Great quality, came packaged really well. Install took only 5 minutes. The only issue I had was with the weather stripping, it would not stick on the edges. Easy fix by drilling a hole on each side and using a plug. We get very cold winters hopefully it holds up in the -30* 🤞
