Product arrived on time, Dec 10th 2024. Went to use product today, Jan 24th 2025, and the can is empty. It was a failure of the crimp around the top spray nozzle, and the charge leaked out. For $38, I expected better quality out of 8.5 oz, and a useable productUPDATED REVIEW:xTool customer service reached out to me about the issue. They offered to replace or refund the product. I chose to get a replacement, and it was shipped expeditiously to me. It is as described, and I am very pleased how fast xTool made it right. I will definitely buy xTool products again. Thank you so much for the great customer service. 5 STARS.

The first time I sprayed the material after shaking it for about 3 minutes it came out runny and inconsistent. I spoke with XTools via their support chat and they promised to get back to me and never did. Did another test shaking the tin for about 5 minutes. It came out more consistent but not uniform. I tested using glass and a sheet of stainless steel. Test pattern from 100-400 mm/min., 70 80% of a 2w 45 nm diode laser. No marks on stainless steel. On glass it was unsatisfactory. Mind you if it was a higher power diode, it might have worked? Anyways, although te Cermark is expensive, it came out pretty good on the glass at 80% power and 600mm/min. Next in line was the Rustoleum Heirloom satin but not as good as the Cermark. This is on glass. None worked on stainless steel. I’d say on glass use the Cermark if you have a 2w diode. and price your engraving accordingly.

I like the result the product produces, however, after the first use the propellant leaks out and I am not able to use the full contents. This is the second time I have tried it with the same results. The first time I thought it was a fluke. The second time shows there is a problem. Update. I was contacted by xtools and was offered instruction on how to avoid the blockage issue. This seemed to have cleared up the problem.

First off is the leaking. Every time I pick it up, there is moisture on the top of the can. Secondly this stuff is super expensive, and unless you are planning to use it all at once, you will be paying for a product you didn’t use. It works pretty well on glass, when it works. It has failed 3 out of 12 times. This was supposed to replace the black chalk spray paint for engraving glass, which left an uneven grayish black on the engravings. I am extremely disappointed with how much this cost and how far it doesn’t go. Until Xtool drops the price to $5-$10, fixes the issues, and issues an apology, I will not be purchasing this again. It is also important to note, you have to shake the can for 2-5 minutes to ensure the stuff sprays properly!

Did what it Should, not cheap but works as expected on steel mugs.

The can leaks even when sitting unused. When spraying it makes a big wet mess. Most importantly, the marking left on the coffee mug is a light gray and even that uneven - and yes, I've tested a wide range of power/speed settings and identified the narrow range of best settings. In comparison, I had perfect results with CerMark Ultra spray, but, of course, that one is much more expensive...
